We are going on a 7-night cruise on the Disney Fantasy this October. We sailed on the Fantasy for the inaugural year, but that was the last time we were on it. Our daughter was very young then and is older now and we are planning on doing BBB. We have not done this on the ship, but have done it at WDW. The question we have is when do you think is the best time to schedule this and still maximize other activities. In example, we probably do not want to go too early, because she wouldn't be able to swim that day or get wet. We would also like to do it before she meets the princesses especially Elsa\Anna, but it looks like they are doing a ticket thing and you won't know when the time is until you get it on the ship (we are not concierge). Our thought process is to schedule something midday on Day 6 (sea day) which is also the Formal night. That way we can swim that morning, go to BBB and then see some characters and go to dinner. But wanted to see what you guys thought. We are able to start booking in about a week and want to get the time scheduled as soon as are we are allowed to book

Day 6, formal night is when we did our BBB experience and I found it to be the perfect time! The girls got to get fancy for formal night and they were able to swim earlier in the week without having to worry about a pretty hair do getting messed up. Their hairdo lasted through the next day while at Castaway Cay and then it came down. We did our BBB right around 3pm that day, early enough in the afternoon that it was perfect timing for the formal dinner that night.

You should be able to book your Elsa meet and greet online when booking opens so you could book that first, then get BBB sorted for just before?

In the last few weeks Disney changed how they do the tickets for Frozen, Princess and the character breakfast (7 day cruises). You can now book tickets for the meet and greets online when your booking window opens.

Our formal night on our Western cruise in Sept is night 2 (first sea day). We decided to book our DDs appt after we booked the meet and greets online (Princess and the Ana and Else one)

We're doing a western over Halloween and I booked it for my DD 5 and 3 on day 6 at sea before the Royal Court Princess Tea. I figured the pool would be crazy crowded anyway and we'd do non swimming things. That being said, I feel that I could recreate the hairstyles if they really wanted to swim- it's more about the experience (I do their hair every day)

We're doing the Western over Halloween also. I booked my DD9 for 9 AM at BBB day 6 before we do princesses and Anna & Elsa at 10 & 10:30. We are also doing Royal Court tea at 3:00 so we just decided that would be princess day. If her hair gets messed up, oh well. Last time she did BBB at WDW it stayed perfect for a week so I'm not too worried about it getting too messy.
