Best time to visit with Baby

I have a 5 month old and 8 year old. We are looking to visit Disneyland Saturday & Sunday October 15 & 16, 2016 or the 1st or 2nd weekend in November. The crowd level says 9 for Oct 15-16. Halloween would be wonderful to see, but I'm wondering if this busy weekend would be too overwhelming with a baby. My husband isn't a fan of large crowds. Do you think it's worth the crowd? If we went the 1st or 2nd weekend in November is that much slower? Is it too cold to bring a baby in November? Thank you!

DisneyLAND or Disney WORLD?

There are separate forums for DisneyLAND.

If it's WORLD (I've never been to LAND), I would say the crowds would probably be the same for all of the weekends you mentioned. The first weekend in Nov is the Wine & Dine Half Marathon, and the second weekend is during Jersey Week. Each of those events bring their own crowds. Not to mention, you have already missed the 60 day FP+ mark (if you are staying on property) for the October dates and the first weekend in November, which will make planning a little more stressful if you're trying to avoid waiting in lines for popular rides. On the plus side, with an infant in tow you will be able to take advantage of the Rider Swap.

If it's the weather you are worried about, we always come at the beginning of November and love the weather. It's usually warm during the day (we always swim at some point on our November trips) and chilly at night -- but not cold, we just pack hoodies for our daughters.

Crowds were never an issue with a baby. At that age, my babies wouldn't use the stroller and just hung out in the sling. One baby would only nap in the stroller at 8 months old though so we still had a stroller with us. (I always had a 3 year old in Disney when we brought a baby so the stroller wasn't completely a waste).

I'd base it on how you, your husband, and 8 year old would do with the crowds. Personally, I'd pick the least crowded date. If that weekend is a 9, then I'd expect your November dates to be lower, but you can check that on the same crowd calendar.

I would not worry about the weather at all. Nov/Dec were our usual months for quite a while. (Last year was Nov/Dec but for Universal only). We have never have bad weather then and never even had it very cold. Some years, it's shorts weather every day even without a lightweight jacket. At the end of Dec, it's been pants and shorts weather. The only cold weather issues we've ever had was Jan/Feb of 2010 when there were record cold temps. The baby of the moment was 11 months old then but it was the 3 year old who struggled the most with the cold. Baby was nice and warm in the sling snuggled up to me.

*Just realized you said "Land." I was doing the weather for "World." Looking up a weather website will give you the temps. But, again, it was a lot easier to keep baby warm snuggled up in the sling than anyone else.
