Hi all!

Well, my family took it's first trip to WDW last August! Although we had a good time... I think we each came home about 10 pounds lighter from all the sweating!!! :scared:

I'd like to start planning out next trip to the world. So, my question is, when is the BEST time to visit... when the weather is 'just right' (not swelting hot and not cold - maybe moderately warm) and the crowds are manageable (not elbow-to-elbow). We're willing to take the kiddos out of school, so any time of year is fine.

We just went this past February, and it was a great month for me. I wore jeans, a t-shirt, and a hoodie sweatshirt all day for one of the days at MK. The other visit to Epcot wasn't really sweatshirt weather (but I left it on anyway) because it was much warmer.

Growing up, we always went in April during that Spring Break and it was crowded! Ahhhh, didn't like it. Same with the summer. So the February mid-winter recess was a LOT better.

If you do want it warmer, I'd suggest March or April. Although the pools were open (and heated) on the days that we were there, it might have been too chilly in February. However, we go from NYC, so it was drastically warmer in comparison (it was snowing up here when we were in that warmth!). So it's up to what you prefer.

Thanks for your reply! I was thinking sometime between Feb-Mar or Sep-Oct. But I don't know which would be better weather/crowd wise.

Feb and Mar are our favorite times of the year at WDW.

Right after 9/11 (on 9/20) we went to WDW and thought the weather would be nice HOWEVER it was 95 degrees the whole week. Maybe go in Oct (I've never been then) but Sept was still way toooooo hot for us.

Went Feb last 2 yrs in a row, and the weeks we were there it had really cold days, and a few warmer. Feb weather is so unpredictable. I would say if you want nice weather, go late Mar
(after spring break) or after Easter.

Our favorite time of year to go is last week in October. We are usually there for 9-10 days so when we leave in November the Xmas decorations are starting to appear. The weather is low 80s in the day, no humidity and 65-70 at night. You have the Food & Wine at Epcot, the MNSSHP and crowds were not that bad. But, anytime is a good time!

Looking at the dates for October, when is the best time to go ? and with the trick or treating is that another ticket I need to buy? if so how?

do they re do the haunted mansion like disneyland?

Hi, no question for us....week after Thanksgiving to about Dec 15...Full Christmas decorations at Disney...very small crowds, excellent weather, golf fees are lower if interested...Disney at Christmas is soooo special...Epcot has all the "Santas" from each country, the Candlelight Processional at Epcot is beautiful, and all rates are very low...
The big hotels have great Chrismas decorations, and House and condo rentals are unbelievably low if you are out the week before Christmas and the huge rush...

Good Luck...Ted
