Hello,

I am planning a trip sometime this winter/spring and I am pretty flexible as to when I can go. Anytime in Jan or Feb, the first two weeks of March or the whole month of May would work. End of march and April are out because I can't get off work due to tax season.

My priorities are low crowds and cheaper hotels. Are any of these times better than the others? I am assuming most spring breaks are probably end of March or April so I will miss those.:goodvibes

We went to DL a few years ago in May and it was very uncrowded which was nice. Are there any big events or conventions that I aren't thinking of that might affect crowds? Any advice is appreciated! Thanks!

Crowds-wise, Late Jan is IMO the best time of year to go. I went last year on my first ever trip and am going again this year.

Mid-week, every ride except Indie, Peter Pan, and Nemo are pretty much walk on. You will likely get some rain, but I think it is worth it. Just bring a rainjacket...I don't mind being wet as long as i'm not cold...And it is still fairly warm in January.

HM and IASW are gonna be closed, but if you are ok with that I think Jan is the best time of year to go, provided you are too picky weather-wise.

The only problem with January is that IASW and HM could be down for the holiday overlay removal. Check the Disney website calander for closures

In terms of having lower crowds but also not having too many rides down for refurbishment and having great weather, May is usually a perfect time to visit.

I agree about ISAW & Haunted Mansion being down in January. The other thing I would caution you about is that Jan & Feb is the "rainy season" in So Cal, and IF we get rain, it can be pretty cold.

But we never know until it's on us if we're going to have a dry or wet season.

May for SURE! Great weather, reasonable crowds. Just be sure to schedule at least one weekend night so you can see the fireworks, Electrical light parade and/or Fantasmic. those do not happen on weeknights. In fact if it's me I have to schedule Fri, Sat and Sun so I can be sure to catch them all.
