Best time to visit HH

We are waiting for ROFR for a HH contract. Hopefully we'll be DVC members soon.
We picked HH because we can definitely see ourselves going there for many years of vacations.

When are the best months to go. Dh doesn't love heat and humidity, but will tolerate it on vacation. Is May a good time? I know the high season is June, July and August, but I was wondering if weather wise, May would be better, or if it's not yet hot enough to do water activities.

We love HH have been at all times of the year, June July Aug are the best for water, Oct was great weather quite no one on the beach, got cool at nite, but with the heated pool was able to swim. May is very hit and miss warm cool rainy you just dont know.

Of course my first answer would be "anytime is a great time to go", but that wouldn't be very helpful. We've been in March, February, and November. I'm also not a heat and humidity fan, but the times we've been have been just a little too cool, even for me. I would think with the heated pool, like the PP said, late fall or spring would be good. However, when we went in March, the no see'ums were bothersome, and I don't know when their peak time is. Anyone with any October or early November experience there?

Late March, mid 60's and sunny. Wore shorts and a sweatshirt for walks on the beach. Of course it was in the 70's and above right before I got there.

Mid April-started trip on Palm Sunday weekend. Warm and sunny.

Late October-Rain, Rain, Rain for a midweek trip.

Now from friends up in my area, spring and late fall seem to be good times for golf trips. From my southern friends(ie Atlanta area) for them it's a summer vacation place.

Just got back from the early June time period. Actually, it was pretty hot most days...(low 90's) so I have to agree that maybe May is a very good month to visit. School is still in and the weather is moderate (I am guessing).

HHI is a great resort... we'll be going back again for sure.

The one time I went to HH in May, every day was so beautiful that when I came home I called my guide immediately to purchase an add-on. Sunny, warm, idyllic . . .

I have also been there several times for April school vacation. Weather then was often nice but not necessarily beach weather. Pool weather, at least a day or two. Golf, yes. Savannah, yes. Harbor town, yes. Dining out, oh, yes.

We've been to HH two or three times in October during our Fall Break and are going again this Oct. We've had pretty good weather on each of our trips in Oct. We've also gone in Dec./Jan and March. October is usually not too crowded and still warm enough for swimming and going to the beach. I would think Sept. would be great too - but we don't have a break from school in Sept. so I've never been then.

I LOVE the summer months, when the ocean is 85 degrees. But a WONDERFUL time to visit is around Labor Day.....the ocean is still warm and there are hardly any people.
