I heard September is a raining time at Florida. Would it be better to go at the end of September for crowd wise and weather wise? Or how about October? I heard that October has bigger crowds because of the halloween and the food and wine event. Any suggestions? Thanks, want to make our first trip as easy and fun as possible. Only two months we can go is September or October by the way.

My husband and I went on our honeymoon Oct 7-14, but it was back in 1991. Eeks!! Almost 17 years ago!! Anyways, not sure how much crowds have changed since then, but it was a perfect time to go. Crowds were average to light and the weather was PERFECT! I would go again in October in a minute, but unfortunately the busiest time at my job is Sept 1-Nov 30, so it is May all the way for us now.

Good luck and I hope you have a wonderful trip.:lovestruc :goodvibes

We love to go in October. The crowds are great and the weather is too! :) Now that our son is in high school we have to go during spring break which is almost painful compared to October! ;)

Sept is low for crowd attendance but is very hot. That doesn't stop us from going every Sept though. I hate waiting in line so I'd rather deal with the heat knowing that I'm not going to be standing in line long and (and instead will be in an air conditioned ride!). We have gotten some rainstorms in the evening during our trips but in the past 4 years we have never had a day when the rain last longer than a couple of hours.

We've been 2 times in May, once in November and once in September in the last 2 1/2 years. We think May (1st week) is the best time of year so far! The weather is great and the lines aren't too long! November (1st week) was amazingly crowded in our opinion (heard it wouldn't be at all) and September was hot and lines were not too long.

I went in Sept and it was extremely hot. Crowds weren't any good, IMO either. I am going this time in May so hopefully it's a bit nicer. Still loved it of course, tho :o)

We have been in October three times. We went this past October and I must say the crowds were some of the highest I've seen in October. Not sure if it has to do with the Halloween party or Food and wine festival. I will say, too, that a lot of schools in the south have fall break in October and I believe that is causing an increase in October crowds. I know that's why we went in October! :)

other than that we love end of October first part of November.
June is a big NO-NO for us.

We just did October in 07 - October 25 until Nov 5. It rained for pretty much the entire October segment thanks to a hurricane off the coast - but we still had fun. The crowds were ok - lighter than May heavier than November. We use Tour Guide Mike though so never stand in lines longer than 15 mins!

Here's some info that might help

Have a magical trip!

January- Temperatures iffy but favorite month to go
March- Great weather but crowded
April- Never again
July- HOT, HOT, HOT, rain storms daily, crowded
Sept-HOT, HOT, HOT, rain storms daily, light crowds
November- Great weather, Crowded, but love the xmas decorations
December- ok weather, VERY CROWDED, but beautiful for holidays

This year we are going June and October. These months are new to us but we have experienced it all so nothing will bother us.

I loved our trip in December. It got a bit crowded towards the end, but the Christmas decorations and the ambiance was just amazing!

I think both September and October are great times to go and I cant really say if I really have noticed a big weather difference between the two. If your not that married to the idea of seeing Halloween Decorations I would say to go for the first two weeks of September especially if you can take advantage of getting free dining when Disney offeres it, coming up in the next two months Disney should be offering Free Dining if you book at hotel and ticket package, Last Year Here is how it went for my group.

9 Nights Stay at All-Star $1000
4 One day one park tickets $280
we kept track of all of our meal receipts and Spent $1800 for four people for 9 days…so $71 per person for room and meals is not too bad

I was thinking about going in April, what is so bad about that time?:confused3

I'm going in July - weather is not an issue for me (I survived Vegas summers 3 years in a row). Plus it's my first time, so I'm going to be happy either way! And like my dad (he lives in Atlanta), if you don't like the weather in South, wait 10 minutes......
