best time to ride buzz lightyear?

this ride sounds like a blast, something i'd want to ride multiple times. does this ride have less of a wait as soon as the park opens? or should i just fastpass it? i also heard riding during parade times helps. thanks guys!

I understand they don't offer E-ride nights anymore. Now it's EMH, but when we had E-ride tix we were able to stay on and ride again. NO LINES! I am really hoping the EMH evening is still a good time.

When we were there in Dec. every time we went to MK there weren't lines for Buzz. They wouldn't allow us to stay on though. We were made to get off the ride, walk out the exit and back around to the front into the entrance again. We rode that ride so many times I started getting sick of it, but DS2 didn't.

We were there this past weekend and went to MK in a heavy rainstorm. Went to Buzz first and rode a couple of times before heading off to Space. Great ride!

This is our family favorite...so for us...ANYTIME is a good time to ride!


We have never waited in line but we tend to go during relatively slow times of the year.

We were there last year on Palm Sunday - we went for EMH and went staright to Buzz, no line, no waiting. It is a great ride. Less than an hour later we walked by and the line was quite long. It is easy to get to from the entrance.

I think close to park closing is better. We managed to ride 3 times in a row-did have to get off and get back in line, but walked in. Most people were lined up for the parade and then left the park.

i had a friend who worked at tomorrowland and she told me that although buzz is the most popular ride in tomorrowland, it usually has the fastest moving line, because they are constantly putting people on and off. so even if it looks like a long wait, don't worry, cos the line will keep moving!

We visited early in the day and at MVMCP and got to ride Buzz 3 times in a row both days with no line and no waiting. DH had to drag me away, I could have gone 3 more times.

The ride is one of the fastest loaders at Disney....so even if its long it will actually be a fairly short wait.....look at the posted time before you get in line i say 30 minute or less posted time and you will more than likely be out in 15....Disney I think adds time to there expected wait....So if you go by one time and its long an hour later it might be empty....I dont know how accurate the badges are that the CMs hand out at the front of the lines to people to hand to cms at the actual ride....I know we got them 3 or 4 times and 1 or 2 times we stopped mid line to look at some stuff like on space moutain my son wanted to see some of the displays.....

Last Feb. we went at park opening and all four of us rode it twice in a row, then the kids rode it one more time, no wait. Then we split up, DD and DH went over to space mt. which only had a 5-10 min. wait,did that twice and DS and I did speedway which had a 20min. wait! That one is a notoriously slow loader. We all met up and did Tea cups, and Astro-orbitor and we were done with that land in about an hour! It was a great plan for us, I'm sure others have their own preferred strategy but those were the rides my kids wanted to do the most.

Another good time to go is when there is an afternoon parade! Sneak behind the lines of the parade just before it starts. We went on Buzz three times in a row with no wait at all, they were waiting for people to get on! This was a crowded April day! This works with many other rides too!
