Best time to make a PS for Chef Mickey at Contemporary Hotel?

Hi,
I want to make a PS for the character meal at the Contemporary. Is it possible to do this for dinner to coincide with the fireworks? What is the best time to make the PS for? Any info would be greatly welcome.

Don't know about the fireworks timing, but if I remember right, there are no windows to look out of at CM. Whenever I've made ressies there, I've made them for 5-5:15 (right when they open). We've gotten in, the characters came around frequently and we ate our full before it got too crowded. Usually when we leave, there is a long line at the waiting area.

A coupple of times we even went back to MK after dinner to see the fireworks.

The fireworks are visable from the restaurant on the top floor, I believe the California Grill. They cannot be seen from Chef Mickey's. We always take the first seating when they open as well. the food and characters are fresh and the servers are on top of their game. Sorry I cannot help you. You will have fun whenever you go.

Is PS necessary at Chef Mickey's? We would like to have dinner there the night we arrive (driving), but not exactly sure what time we will get there.
Plan is to have dinner there, watch the fireworks from one of the observation decks of the Contemporary, ride the monorail, then get the kids to bed early for a day at the parks the next day.

I would highly recommend a PS at Chef Mickey's. I don't know what time of the year you are going, but they always seem to be busy. We were there on New Years' Day and had to wait for 50 minutes past our PS time. They were telling walkups they could try to comeback right before closing, but that not to count on getting in. I would make a PS for the time you think you can get there by. If you don't make it by your PS time, there is no penalty and you may still get in ahead of walk-ups.
