I have a co worker that is interested in going to Disney sometime near Xmas for the holiday events. When is the best and cheapest time to go to experience the holidays.

I have a co worker that is interested in going to Disney sometime near Xmas for the holiday events. When is the best and cheapest time to go to experience the holidays.

We went a couple of years ago ... the week before Thanksgiving and the parks had most of their decorations up and so did the resorts ... it was very enjoyable crowd/weather wise as well.

I have heard that the weekend of Thanksgiving is very crowded. I have also heard that if you wait a full week after Thanksgiving, its not very crowded at all but each week leading up to Christmas gets a little more crowded each week. Of course, you will NEVER be lonely at Disney. lol I've never been for the holidays but I would love to see all the decorations. Have fun.
