Best time to go...

We are planning our first family trip to Disney. We want to go sometime this fall. Any tips for good times to go to avoid crowds and bad weather??? THANKS!

Have you considered a Thanksgiving trip? We did this last year and it was perfect! Crowds were not bad at all and the weather was cool and cold on some days. I'd rather be chilly than uncomfortably hot. As for rain, I think that is a risk all year round. For us, it rained only one day and for about 15 mins. So just be sure to take raincoats or ponchos. Fall is an excellent time to go, summer is much like torture, for us at least.

I wouldn't rule it out. I just assumed it would be super crowded.
