Hi all,

I was wondering when is the best time of year to go to Walt Disney World? I would prefer a time when it is not super crowded. I also do not like walking around in the heat and humidity so that excludes the summer months. However, I would like the temperature to be reasonable enough to go to waterparks and swim during the day. I was thinking maybe October would be good?

Any suggestions??

Thanks!

Oct - Nov (Pre-Thanksgiving) and the first two weeks of December is a great time to go. There are allot of things to do Depending on when. Oct there is Mickey's not so Scary Halloween (geared for the younger crowd). Epcot has the Food and Wine Festival and if you ever have a chance to go I would highly recommend that. In December you can see the Osbourne Holiday Light show. Epcot does Holidays around the world. Also you can look at January - March. If you avoid the holiday weekends the crowds tend to be much lower. These times in general are the non peak seasons, which is helpful as if you plan on staying on property the rates are better.

If your staying on property also keep in mind extra magic hours its a great way to hit the parks with less crowds specially at MK.

Temperature wise its usually pretty stable ranging between 70's - 80's. But you will want to keep a eye on the weather forecast.

Hope that helps.

For low crowds and cooler weather, I'd recommend January or February.

We usually go in October, but it can be very, very hot and humid (upper 80s and low 90s with lots of humidity). November and December seem to be getting more crowded (perhaps because of free dining promotions), and once you start getting into March and April, you're hitting busy spring-break time.

For low crowds and cooler weather, I'd recommend January or February.

Totally agree!
Those times last year me and my friends were pretty much walking onto rides.
Longest waits were like 5 minutes.
And I'm talking the rides that are normally busy ... all the Mtns at Magic Kingdom. Tower and Coaster at Hollywood Studios ...
It was lovely! :thumbsup2
