We live in TN, so we have been to Disney World 4 times since my DS was born and he will be 4 in March. But with an aunt in uncle in CA close to DL, we were thinking about planning a trip out there this year. I'm thinking about two times and was wondering the pros and cons to both.

The first time would be the week after Easter week, in mid April. And the other time would be the end of October and the first few days of November.

Any help and suggestions would be great.

Thanks.

Early March, late April (avoid Easter week), Late August, Early September, Mid October through Early November.

Perfect times. Usually very comfortable weather. Most of the attractions are open, and not as crowded. Plan your trip so that you hit the park on weekdays mostly.

The crowd levels may prove to be difficult to predict exactly for 2010, as 2009 seemed to defy previous trends in that it was super crowded when it was not expected to be and then it was not busy at expected times (like 4th of July, for example). Also, there are lots and lots of people with APs now, and that has impacted crowd levels.

But crowds aside, if you make a trip in late October through early November, you will have the benefit of seeing both the Halloweentime decorations in full swing and the beginnings of the Christmas decorations going up as soon as 10/31 or 11/1 passes! The full Christmas makeover will not be up yet, but you will see some things here and there, as soon as November begins.

Advantages of waiting until later in the year include:

1. Fantasmic will be open. It is closed in 2010 until June.

2. Rivers of America will be drained until May and all ROA attractions will be closed

3. The World of Color show will open in late April and promises to be a new Disney spectacular.
