Hi all - I am already booked for my next trip but I am having some doubts as to whether I have chosen the right time....
I want it to be as cost effective as possible so I am trying to choose at a "value" time but also one that has historically had some kind of free dining or discount.....

I also want to have low crowds so I am trying to avoid all holidays and school breaks

but I do want to have some good weather because I know my kids like using the resort pools.....

what do you all suggest? I know its a big question with a lot of variables but I know that you all are the experts and can probably help me more than any research I do on my own...... :confused3

Thanks in advance :worship: :worship: :worship:

In my experience the best time to go for all of the reasons you are looking for is right after labor day. Basically, as soon as school is in session everywhere. It's historically 1 and 2 on the crowd calendar. The fall usually brings free dining. And the weather is still very warm!

Yeah - I kinda figured that :sad2: - I will not be able to make it for this September - just too soon to save up the money that I need - but maybe September 2015.
My biggest hurdle with September is that I am the School Tax Collector and we collect taxes from Sept. thru the beginning of Nov. So I am not really sure if I would ever be able to go that week after Labor Day...although I would LOVE LOVE LOVE too -

I have lived in the Disney area for the past 13 years. The best times to go crowd wise are after Labor Day thru the first week of October (Epcot will be busy for food and wine), end of February, first 2 weeks of May, the week before Thanksgiving, and first 2 weeks of December. Hope this helps:)

Thanks! May would definitely be good weather wise :)

How warm is it right after Labor Day? Is it sweltering or just in the 80s? ALso, what is the humidity like? I don't know it my hot weather wimps could handle it!

Still nasty hot in early Sept. If humidity is an issue, you'll want to avoid that time of year. We went late Sept one year and it was manageable. Late October was beautiful (but crowded). I'd go late Feb or early May for good weather and low crowds.
