Best Time to Go: 11/22-12/3 or 12/8-17?

Help! I initially planned to do a solo trip from 11/22 (Thanksgiving) through Sunday the 2nd. I booked POFQ and requested the time off work. I was waitlisted for the time off and didn’t think it would be approved, so I booked FQ from Sat 12/8 through Mon 12/17 as a backup. And now the first time off request was approved and I don’t know what to do. I don’t have plane tickets yet and I have an Annual Pass, so I don’t have to worry about tickets. But I’m a bit frozen on which week is better. I know that Thanksgiving weekend will be packed, but it should calm down by Monday. Right? Plus, I’d get one more night. Or am I totally wrong and the whole week will be insane? Would the mid-December trip be better? Ahhh! It was so much easier when I didn’t think I had a choice.

What would you do?

I think that crowds will calm down after Sunday. Either week will probably be about the same. I’d probably stick wit the earlier.

Are fp's important to you? I'm sure you know that you've already missed your 60 day fp window for the November dates. Not sure if that would make a difference in your decision or not...

We are going that week in November and there seem to be a lot of us on the boards going at the same time. So, not sure if crowds will be any lighter than December.

I am not a fan of holiday crowds so the 8 - 17th would be more attractive to me.

Me too! But since you are flying on Thanksgiving day you might still find cheap fares.

Overall we have made many trips in early/mid December and have enjoyed them all.

The crowds should be less during the December dates although the first week of December Pop Warner and the cheerleader championship is there. That shouldn't affect the parks at all or your resort as they usually stay at the values. We love to go down the first or second week of December.
