You may open an ongoing search using "request first." You will pay the exchange fee ($139) upfront -- but no need to deposit WM credits.I am new to II and own DVC and WM. Can I do an ongoing search with request first, or do I have to deposit some of my WM points into the system to do an ongoing search? Just still trying to get this all clear.
II's Ongoing Search pulled another winner for me today! Whoo-hoo!Your best shot is to use II's ongoing search.
congratulations bwvBound!!! glad you got what you wanted.
rainy~daze did you get what you wanted.
DVC does not do block transfer like some of the other resorts (HGVC, Sheraton).
Disney only does II when a member request one.
most of the other timeshares don't have a place to rent from easily.
That's very likely to come through if you have enough resort quality to match what's in II. If you're looking this far out and don't match that search for a 1 BR assume you have either a trade power or resort quality issue or both.I am still looking. I have an ongoing search, but check daily. I am hoping for a 1 bedroom OKW (will take SSR too) in January or February 08.
I'm not totally sure what you mean Pat. They don't do developer deposits to fish for new meat. But they do have their own version of bulk space banking though it is based, roughly, on outgoing II trades that members have done.DVC does not do block transfer like some of the other resorts (HGVC, Sheraton).

I usually search at least once a day, often more. I'd say I do 20-30 % fairly early am and the rest during the day but more early evenings than anything else. I've already seen a number of Jan, Feb and March 08 weeks come through but I did see Xmas and the week before last week. I usually search with a very strong trader and high quality week then often play around with other things I can search with to see where the break point is on trade power and resort quality. What studio will get me a 1 BR, what week/resort will not pull a unit sitting there, etc. I find that the more units sitting there the easier it is to pull one. I have a couple of units I can search with that tend to be right at the dividing line as far as being able to pull DVC. I'll find one time a given resort unit will pull X and another it will not. Sometimes I have to go to a 2 BR or even a 3 BR with a couple of my resorts before they will pull something sitting there. Using this I've developed a feel for what it takes to get a DVC deposit and even which DVC resort II thinks has stronger or weaker trade power. It's no surprise that SSR and OKW are on the weaker side as are VB and HH. It is also clear that DVC is more likely to deposit these four resorts out or proportion to their large size in the case of OKW & SSR.boy then my timeshare is not definitely pulling most of them. I only see one or two at a time - mainly just in May, Sept, Oct, Jan.
so the bulk space banking done by the other resorts - when one day nothing and the next day - several hundred - Disney does, too?
