We're looking at going on the 4 day Wonder for our 15th anniversary next year. It would be me, DH and DD. What would be a better month to go? I'm looking at the Nov. 5th sailing or around Columbus day. (Actual anniv. Oct 12) I'm a little leary about October and lingering hurricane season. Went on the big red boat for honeymoon and couldn't go to the private island due to a tropical storm. Anyone have any experiences with early November, such as temperature and seas. What about October?

Thanks for the help!

We sail in hurricane season every year...been doing it since 1998, and we've only be affected by a hurricane once. That was in 2004, which was not a normal year. We sail in late Nov. and have had good luck. Doesn't seem to be late enough to be too cold or too risky for missing CC. I think early Nov. would be even better.

Hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30 every single year!!!
So that doesn't leave a lot of time to cruise during the year. Last year was such an unussual year for hurricanes that no one should plan accordingly. Don't let hurricane season affect your trip. And BTW, Disney did accomodate their passengers.

What was the weather like on the early November or mid-October cruise?

Thanks.

We went mid-October 2003. The weather was awesome! The morning we went to Nassau it rained for about 20 minutes in the morning. But we hadn't even docked yet so it didn't ruin the day. The day we spent at Castaway Cay was really hot. We spent lots of time in the water and came back with great tans! :cool1: We thought it was a great time to cruise!
