Best time to call for PS

When is the best time of the day to call Disney to get a PS. We are just trying to get a reservation for dinner at Ohana on a weeknight in September. I called once around 1pm and I was on hold for over 20 minutes and then had to hang up. Is this normal or is there a better time when I could call and the wait may not be so long?

I have read recently that a good time to call is about an hour after the phone line opens up. This way the first "rush" gets through and you should be fine.

I have found that when calling WDW for PS (or anything else) to answer to pre-call questions as "first time visiting Disney". Somehow they answer those calls right away. Of course they want to make first timers welcome. Then once they get us hooked they know that we will wait on hold forever.

Last week I called about 5 pm EST and got right through.

Saturday mornings...I just called about 45 min. ago and held for like 2 minutes, plus we were able to get all the PS's we wanted, the days and times we wanted for our upcoming trip next month! Yeah!

Great! I was just getting ready to call to make some PS's. Looks like we'll be there about the same time!
