Best time to book late feb flight?

We are considering a quick week-end trip Feb 22-24th from Buffalo to Orlando. We always go in March and Feb flights have always been much cheaper. But I'm surprised how expensive they are...Does anyone know if the price goes down at some point. I know from experience when booking march break flights...get them as soon as they are released because they just go up after that. But I don't have experience with Feb. Any help is appreciated.

I think you are hitting the end of President's Day week.

Which may mean you are in trouble. Coming from the NE that's always a challenge and the "overflow" from the Saturday to Sunday moves to the Monday/Saturday etc... I expect it's your return that's killing you. And honestly the airlines KNOW folks will pay big bucks to get out of the NE over that week

If the schools anywhere near you are off for part of the week of President's Day it gets tough...

No one knows what airline prices will do. Anyone who says what they'll do is just guessing (this includes Bing, Kayak, etc).

You are probably seeing higher prices because that is Disney Princess Half Marathon weekend. Hotel rooms are out of sight, too.
