Best time to book a flight to Orlando?

when is the best time? I currently live in Staten Island NY and I usually get it like 5 months out but I am starting to notice if you wait a little the flights tend to get cheaper. Any strategies out there?

The best time is when the price is right. Not very helpful but true. There is no secret time to buy. Some will tell you X amount of days and the next person will say to book on Xday. Figure out the price you want to pay and monitor on sites like Kayak and check Southwest daily. Prices change day to day.

Google flight. Look at the graph and figure out which dates historically have cheaper tix. And set up an alert so you get an email each time the fare changes.

We usually book about 5/6 months in advance and 99.9% of the time fly weekday to weekday. (SI here too - out of EWR).

We fly over school vacations bc DH is a teacher so we book far far in advance. My experience those flight prices just go up and up.

There is an app called hopper that I use. it monitors your flights for you and advises to wait or purchase. I found it helpful.
