Hi Everyone, we are thinking of planning a trip to Disneyland Paris in the future, when is the best time to go. Thinking of maybe Halloween or Christmas, which is better and why?? We do like characters, so what rare characters are out at these times of years? Have noticed Huey, Lewy and Duey there, are they normal for over there? Just curious, thank you in advance for your help.:)

I've never been to DLRP around Christmas but i've been there for Hallowen, in 2009 we did the Halloween Soiree and it was just amazing, i would do it every year if possible money wise :goodvibes

Just thinking but i've seen Donald and Daisy but never Huey, Dewey and Louie...someone else maybe????

I think Huey, Dewey and Louis were only brought to DLP for the MNSSHP parties last Halloween season, there are no MNSSHPs this year, and I wouldn't expect the 3 young ducks to be around this Halloween.

They were there on our June trip last year, but that was because we managed to be there at the same time as a very wealthy prince who paid Disney to ship in some extra characters for his visit! pixiedust:

My vote would be for Christmas because you can see the characters all dress ed up - I just love Santa Goofy!!

I've been at halloween (the start of it, not the whole MNSSHP etc), summer season and end of September when it was quieter (which was nice but no theme running through). I really enjoyed halloween - and the park looked amazing! But I believe they have scaled back on the decorations and pumpkin men all over the park (the last 2 years I think?), which is a real shame. Whether they will bring that back this year remains to be seen. What I am wondering though if they will put a halloween overlay on the Dreams show this year? Seasonal overlays have been talked about so this is a possibility :thumbsup2. ETA - from what I've read on other sites this seems unlikely, and that it would probably be next year before they would start tweaking Dreams to add seasonal effects?!

I have yet to visit at Christmas as my oldest DD is at school and it's always been hard to take her out at that time of year (a weekend alone isn't enough time for us really due to flight times etc). BUT, this year we are going for a long weekend at end Nov/beg December (due to school training) and I can't wait! I am so excited. I have not heard one person say a negative thing about the Christmas decs or seasonal festivities at DLRP and I've wanted to go for years! :cheer2:

So I guess, although I haven't witnessed it yet, Christmas would be the ultimate time for me if I had to pick one :santa: (I could change my mind when I return :lmao:, but I doubt it!)....
