we're thinking of booking our first (ever) cruise. what is the best time in regard to weather? we're also trying to balance that with cost. thanks!

We had a blast on our trip in early October. Prices were cheap too! The weather was excellent but the seas were a little rough the first night. We've also cruised in May but it was really hot.

We have always cruised in October. The weather is good and the prices are lower.Just remember it is still hurricane season so you could be diverted and have a mystery cruise ( which is also fun).

we like mid December, right before Christmas cruise...you get all the advantages of the festive holiday atmosphere, w/o the ultra high prices....

We have done Oct, Dec and May. Oct was during hurricane season but that did not seem to be a problem, the prices were definately the best & the temps on the Islands was great. May was quite warm, Dec was nice but had rain on two of the islands the night before (rain season in the islands?). (we had the last cruise before dry dock, so we missed the decorations) I think there are advantages and disadvantages to any month but any time I can cruise is OK with me.
Whenever you choose have fun!!

We have cruised April, October & Nov. April was the best weather- picture perfect, but more expensive. Oct/Nov the weather was great & fares lower. I think late Oct/Nov/ early Dec. are good values farewise & weatherwise.

Currently it's 3 degrees with a 15 mph wind, gusts of 25-30 mph. We're expecting another 10 inches of snow.

Now would be a VERY, VERY GOOD time for a Disney Cruise.

you have a great point. they are calling for freezing rain in louisville ky tonite. now would be a great time. and i think late oct to early dec i think is the best. water temps at castaway cay are getting colder in late nov and still colder are winter gets closer. i hope thiscan help

Early November does it for us when considering the weather
and cost.Do it on the same week as veterans day and thats one
less day the kids will miss school too. Remember, if you book
way early then you increase your chances of having the upgrade
gods looking upon you favorably
