I have never done laundry before on any of our trips, but with us doing WDW, DCL, then back to WDW I know I'm going to have to do a least a load of laundry for a 10 day vacation.
Anyone know what would be the best time to do it on board? Are there a lot of washers/dryers?
Didn't have a crowd 3 a.m.-ish on Deck 7 a couple years ago. Have packed the detergent tablets, dryer sheets, and roll of quarters in case DS ends up with chocolate ice cream on everything before the cruise is over.
okay, when you do laundry in the middle of the night does it bother the people in the cabins around the laundry room? lol just asking because I booked the cabin two over and across from the laundry room. While 3 am won't bother me 7am will!

You know, I packed those shout wipes. It was a shirt saver!! I just wiped the chocolate off with the wipes and packed the shirt away so I didn't have to do laundry.
All of it came off last night when I washed the countless chocolate soiled shirts!

The cruise ship even has a laundry room? I never went near the place! Seriously, I hate doing the laundry in public.
One would hope that in the middle of the night, laundry folk would try to keep it down. We've never had a room near the laundry, so I can't really say if it's noisy. Hope not.
ITA with Mary Anne. Seriously, if you can try to do some laundry at WDW before your cruise. That is what we did on our first DCL cruise and it helped tremendously! HTH
I found early morning best. Here's a vent for those who do laundry (through I KNOW it would never be someone from the DIS to do this). When the washer or dryer says it will be done in 20 minutes - come back in 20 minutes. On St. Thomas day on our last cruise there were 3 dryers to had stopped but no one came back for the clothes when I started my wash (there was an open washer). When I came back the dryers were still full with the same stuff. I took one out and put it on the table as neat as I could. A table that already had 4 different piles on it. Put my stuff in the dryer and when I came back the piles were still on the table and in the other dryers.
When we walked by later that evening i peeked in and some of the piles were still on the table and this was 4 or more hours later.

We were constantly walking back and forth past the laundry and there were always machines going. We did our laundry at BC before leaving, no one was there and I would guess it is much less crowded.
