Best time January and February

Hi all,
Does anyone know when Disneyland will be it's slowest in January and February? Would anyone know when the school vacations would take place in California? I'm just trying to narrow down the best time to go in those months.

When we have gone the week right after NewYears it hasn't been too bad.

Dates I'd try to avoid are:
MLK Day weekend
SuperBowl weekend
Valentine's weekend
Presidents Day

We go for a week at a time. Once we went during MLK weekend and the following week, the weekend crowds were disastrous. It took until Wednesday for the parks to get to a reasonable level of people.

There's also a Star Wars Half Marathon weekend in mid January, and Dapper Days at the end of Feb. Those will increase attendance by some. But, remember that Disney hosts these events during slow times to bring in some revenue, so while attendance may be up from what it would normally be during that time of year, its still low relative to times like holidays and summer. The only problem with Jan/Feb is ride closures and chances for cooler weather/rain.

We were there for two days at the end of Jan 2013. It was really quiet on Thu and most of Fri when we were there. Didn't really pick up until late Friday. The only downside was Small World and Haunted Mansion were down, removing holiday overlays. I think there were some other refurbs going on too. Still, we had a great time and the weather was fantastic, mid-70s!
