We are planning a DLR vacation for next summer. Is there a better time to visit~ less crowded ect.. I know in WDW the later part of August is better because the crowds dip with kids going back to school. So is the end of August better than July???

I would make sure to consider the Southern CA annual passholders blockout dates when you make your decision. Towards the 2nd half of August they are all unblocked and the parks will be considerably more crowded as everyone who was blocked out prior shows up.

We were there a couple of summers during the week that everyone was unblocked and the difference was huge.

If you understand crowd patterns in WDW you almost know how they are in DLR too.

Except Food and Wine doesn't keep DLR crowds solid in the fall.
Weekends in DLR are always busier than weekdays, by a lot.
APs in DLR effect the crowds.

Still the end of August is the sweet spot in your survey.

Thanks so much for the info. I would not have thought about the black out dates. We loved our first trip to DL 3 yrs ago and can't wait to go again. There are new rides and shows to check out.
