So the birthday plans I had for my wife, and going to Vegas have been derailed due to some family issues that have arisen... attending a funeral the day before. Not someone we were really close to and didn't know too well actually. But now she is a bit down about things.
Sooooo, as Annual Passholders I thought it may be fun to take her to Trader Sams in the evening. I want to see her happy on her day... somehow. I heard seating is tough there. Is there a good time anyone can suggest in the evening on a weekday that we should try for? We go to Disneyland often enough that a restaurant there just doesn't seem special anymore for this. I'm even considering taking her somewhere else for the day and then to Trader Sams for fun drinks that evening.
Thanks for any suggestions...

It's been my experience that if you hit it right after children are no longer allowed in (I think that's 6 pm) or on a warm evening any time before 8-ish (when people are more inclined to sit outside), you shouldn't have any trouble finding a seat on a week night.

We went there on a weeknight last month during Spring Break in the mid to late afternoon. We were able to get an inside table after about 1/2 hr after we sat outside and enjoyed the sunshine then inside to enjoy the show.

Sitting outside will be more peaceful and you might have a guy playing some music
I personally sitting inside the most. If you go for lunch try to be there between 11am-1130am
At dinner time around 4pm-430pm.
Grabbing a stool is much easier than a table inside, but don't be shy to ask guests that seem to be almost done if you could have that spot when they leave. Then you can just wait nearby
It shouldn't take to long, plus this will give you some time to look at all of the cool things inside of the bar.
Warning that it can be quite cold near and especially under the family tree.

Thanks so much for the suggestions everyone. I'm determined to at least get her to this place to make things happier and experience something new somewhat related to Disney.
have a great weekend everyone.
