I haven't been to WDW in like 15 years, so I was wondering what would be the best time of year to go for a single adult. When it's not too busy so you're not always stuck seated next to big groups of people...

any time i've gone solo, it's been in late october during F&W

found that i really enjoy myself and my "alone" time more when i can leisurely graze the food booths, enjoy the shops in each WS country, bypass all the rides (that my DH and DS insist i join them on....) and shop shop shop!

the weather at that time is also pleasant, not as hot/humid as during summer or even september - less rain - crowds manageable (but when you're alone, you're in control of what you do, with no one else to cater to, so you can dawdle at your own pace)

honestly, my favorite times were when i'm there all alone, walking from epcot to mgm along that path, or riding the peoplemover over and over, or just enjoying the lushness of AK (with no one to rush me or roll their eyes when i just want to sit and take it all in)

Unfortunately there are not many "quiet" times left in WDW. I've found Sept. & late Jan. still to be the quietest times, but not the best "weather-wise". My favorite is early to mid-May. The weather is usually great and I love the Flower & Garden fest. Also the crowds are pretty manageable - hope it'll still be this way in 10 days!!!

Just stay away from major holiday/vacation times - huge crowds and big $$$!!

HTH!!! :upsidedow

Try looking at Mousefest.org I went last year and had a blast with lots of other singles...I think so far 3 engagements have come up since then from that group!! You could also look at NFFC for an interesting twist for your solo trip....or plan nothing at all and just go with the flow. I prefer late October to Early Dec. not including Thanksgiving week which is crazy busy....Jan. - April is pretty good too...whenever school is in and the weather is cooler is my choice!! Good luck in your plans! Be sure you make advance reservations for meals if you plan to eat in the parks or resorts...they book quickly and you will be disapointed if you were dreaming of eating in the Castle only to find it was already booked....

If you can stand the heat the Start of Sept. right after Labor day real quite
But My Favorite is the week after Thanksgiving. All the Christmas events are in full swing but the crowds are very manageable.

But keep it to yourself we don't want everyone to know.

I've been solo in 7 different months, and I haven't found a big difference. However, I kind of liked September a little more than the others (that's probably why I'm going back this September). The extreme heat forces me to take more down-time, either at the pool, indoors in common areas of the resort, or sitting on a bench people-watching with an ice cream. But I can't say there was any time of the year when I didn't enjoy myself.

Bubba the secret is already out...I usually go at that time too...last year I noticed a dramatic increase....oh well its Disney so its all good!!! Janet
