Best time for meeting Jack during MVMCP?

I am on my last day of touring plans for our vacation that starts on Saturday! Woo hoo!! I'm planning our MVMCP day. I was thinking that maybe around 8:00pm would be a good time to get in line for Jack Skellington (first parade at 8:15--we are planning to attend the 10:30 parade). Jack is the only character my son has requested to meet during our entire trip. Advice I read other places says to get in line at 5:00pm, because Jack sometimes meets as early. I'm not crazy about that idea because if Jack doesn't meet early, we are in line for 2+ hours...

I was thinking that either before the first parade or after the second parade would be a good time to meet him. According to what I've read, he meets until 11:30pm. Would I have time to watch the 10:30 parade on Main Street, then hoof it back to Storybook Circus and get in line for Jack? Probably would depend on how long his line is, I guess.

Sorry to ramble...our trip is this Saturday and I"m starting to freak out a bit!

Are you going to the first party? If not, there may be some more information about when he comes out after the first party. We got in line last year at 5:30 (were first in line) and he came out around 6:15. The CMs managing the line were indirectly confirming that he would be out early. Other than that, I can't say.

We are going to the first party! We actually go home on the 10th, so it was the only party we could go to. 5:30-6:15 would be great, though. Thanks for the info!

Not sure if there's a castle show before wishes... bur during mnsshp I waited only 15 minutes aND had an awesome greet doing it during that show. I didn't feel like I missed it. There's only one so you don't have people still in liNE because there will be another like with the parade.

Get in line early! They will cut the line off at some point during the party.. We tried to hoof it over to the Dumbo area after the second parade and couldn't get in line No sandy claws for us....We attended the party on 11/13 last year...

Last December we had 5:30 CRT ressies then immediately after dinner went to see Jack. We waited less than 30 minutes. Sometimes they will start the character meets a little before 7 and this was the case for us.
