Last August, we had a dinner ADR for Sci-Fi at 5:55pm. We were seated 15-20 minutes after our ADR time. We then sat there for 20-30 straight minutes without a single waiter coming up to us at all. Never got water, never got menus. We walked out and told the seating hostess that she could give away our table. Horribly disappointed.
We head to WDW in 3 weeks and we currently have two ADRs for Sci-Fi. One is at 4:45pm and one is at 6pm. I'm trying to decide which one to keep. 6pm is a more desirable dinner time, but I am wary to keep that one after what happened in August. Would the 4:45pm time be less crowded and better service since it is earlier than most people eat dinner?
We are going to be at MK that day until about 2pm (lunch will be around 11:30-noon), and then we are heading over to HS for the rest of the day. HS closes at 8pm that day and we are planning on seeing Fantasmic at 8:30pm. Maybe if we do lunch at 11:30 then we will be hungry for dinner at 4:45pm? And then the timing works out well for a snack during Fantasmic?
Which ADR time would you choose?
