Best time for Blue Bayou Reservations?

We will be at DL for a Monday and Tuesday. We will probably do all of DL one day and all of DCA the other. We don't have a preference as to which day to go to which park. We're staying at a Disney hotel so we get the extra early admission both days.
There will be five of us....myself, DH, DD (16), DS (12) and DD (4). We would love to be next to the water, but know that we may be reserving too far in for that. We're also celebrating our anniversary.
Does anyone have recommendations for which day and what time would be best to make a reservation? Thank you!!!!

It's been my experience that an early lunch reservation at BB has yielded most consistent success in receiving a water-side table. So an 11:30 am lunch reservation which we check in for by 11:15am. When I check in at the hostess stand, I then ask politely with my nicest smile if we may please receive a water-side table. It usually works. As for day of the week, I don't think one is better than the other for BB. Disboarders have been generally reporting that the parks seem most busy on Mon, Tues, Wed and less so on Saturdays due to full ap block out. Have fun.

Good to know:thumbsup2

That exact procedure has also worked for me several times.

We went at 1:00 on a Thursday, went about 15 minutes early and asked for waterside, got in before our reservation time. Although first reservation time is ideal for most people, we eat lunch later then that, so it made sense to go at 1.

Another vote for this advice! We always do this when we eat at the Blue Bayou! :)

Thank you for the advice. We'll make 11:30 reservations and hope for the best! Thank you!!
