Hello All

We will be going on our 3rd annual WDW trip and for the 3rd straight year will be renting points to stay at a DVC location

My question is:

Should we schedule the tour early in the vacation (1-3 day)
middle of the vacation (4-7)
or the last end of the vacation (8-9)

Does it really matter?

Personal Preference?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated

Thanks:dance3:

We toured day 5 of a 7 day trip. This was not planned. My husband just wanted to know what all those kiosks were about. But since we had that as a rain day & since they were giving gift cards for each family member, we took the tour.

But , the baby was not allowed in the day care because she had no shoes (being red neck hicks from Alabama we didn't think she needed them to go to a water park - our next stop) so our tour was really quick.

We didn't sign then because we had never heard of DVC and thought all timeshares were over priced. But after MUCH research we are waiting on closing docs and soon to be BWV owners.

Schedule the tour early in your stay in case you get free fast passes. You want to have time to use them, they are only valid for 3 or 4 days after they are issued.

I agree - schedule the tour early. That way if you have any questions after you've had time to think it over, you can call your guide from there. Also, when we toured and was thinking about purchasing, our guide said the incentives were only good until the end of our stay, so you would have more time to think about purchasing.

We scheduled our tour the last day, and I wished we had scheduled earlier in our stay. Because of this, we couldn't use the fast passes they were going to give us. Look at the extended weather, and plan it on a rainy day or a day where you're not going to the parks. That way, it doesn't eat into your park time.

Not sure about others' experiences, but for us, we were able to call and make a same day appointment right from our room at OKW. It was really nice, because they came and picked us up at the resort. We toured SSR, talked with the guide, and then asked if we could eat at the AP before we went back. We had a nice lunch, went back and had ice cream, and then the driver took us back to our room. :goodvibes

Hope you enjoy your DVC tour! :thumbsup2

when we toured and was thinking about purchasing, our guide said the incentives were only good until the end of our stay, so you would have more time to think about purchasing.

Our "guide" told us the offer (with incentives) was good for 3 days from check-out.

I agree with the earlier is better group. I waited until the last couple days and then ended up making all the purchasing arrangements from work. It would have been much easier during vacation while in Disney.

I think I had 3 days to take the deal. I met with my guide for an add-on while at Disney and it was really easy.
