WHat's the best one day ticket prices you know of and how do I get them? Is the AAA 10% discount good on tickets also? Would like a one day/ 2 park pass if I could find one. And well I have your attention...US or IOA for 8 yr old who will do some thrill rides but not really big ones? Parents not big roller coaster people either. Thanks....

You can't get any discounted tickets in Florida anymore. Due to a new law the AAA offices or any other location can only sell the new tickets at the gate prices. If you do get a ticket for less than the gate price I would be careful. I've heard some horror storries from people. I was in the guest services building one day and a person came in trying to find out why the pass wouldn't let her into the studios. When the GR agent checked the pass she told her that there was only 1 day left on the pass (2 day) and that it is restricted to IOA only. The agent did reverse the pass and let the guest choose which park she wanted to go into and let the guest know not to purchase from those stands that are out in front of multiple different locations around Orlando.

Many look for a deal on a 1 day/2 park pass. It goes for about $70 at the gate, not even on the menu, not the best idea.
There is a season pass for $99 with some blackout dates, this may work depending on when you come. For someone who is coming down 1 time, and only wants to visit for 1 day, you'll end up paying full price at the gate for 1 park.
They want you staying for more than a day, and if you notice, the tickets are not good after you leave. In the past, they didn't expire, now they do. It's all marketing, they know what people want, but steer you to more days.
In your case, I'd say to visit IOA, even if the kid doesn't want to ride the coasters. Spiderman is worth it. Who knows, he may get up some courage and go on Hulk.
In the grand scheme of things, 10% off a $50 ticket is only $5. There are other ways to save that money. It's just that everyone who visits, expects to get a coupon because all the parks up north have them. In Florida, it's different because there are two parks and they want you staying longer.

There is no Florida law I know of. You can get discounted Universal, Busch Gardens/Sea World 1 day passes all the time at AAA. The AAA South web site is still showing 1 day discounted tickets. However, Disney does not offer 1 day discounts at AAA. That is the law of Disney greed more than anything.

Just purchased 5 consecutive days pass online from universal website for $89.00 plus tax & shipping. Received actual passes in the mail, took about one week for delivery. I wanted to have the actual tickets with me before I leave, no vouchers, no waiting in line to get your ticket. Safe, secure purchase. Someone does have to sign for the tickets when they are delivered.

I also bought the 5 day in a row pass frm the website. Works for me! We will likely only use 4, but what a bargain at $89. I used the will call pick up at the park thing. Makes me slightly nervous, as we will not be going until August!

sams club.com in the travel section also sells discounted tickets.

I think Florida law states that you can't sell used tickets, like tickets with unused days on it. I think mainly it's because you can't verify by looking at the ticket how many days are left. Many places sell tickets for a few dollars off, like www.ticketmania.com. You can also find coupons in tourist publications all around Orlando. If you want to put up with a timeshare presentation (no committment to buy, but the sales pitch is high pressure), then you might be able to get tickets for like 2 for $20. Personally, I'd rather hit myself with a hammer than sit through a timeshare presentation.

We just came back from IOA and US. I bought a 2 Day/2 Park Pass that doesn't expire for about $87. I bought it from Billy Boys (I think that's the name of the place). It's across the street from Medieval Castle. This ticket allows you to park hop, which we did on the 23rd.
