Hello: I am planning a trip for Thanksgiving week (2005) and would love to hear your suggestions for the best restaurant for a Thanksgiving PS. There are 5 of us at least (maybe 6), 2 adults and 3 (or 4) kids--17, 16, 11 (and maybe another 17yo). Thanks!

Many years ago we had our Thanksgiving dinner at the Crystal Palace it was wonderful there was 2 adults and our kids were 10 and 12 at the time and they still talk about it.

Ive never been there...but doesnt liberty tree serve turkey, stuffing, etc all the time?

I'd love to hear an answer to this also, since we, too, are planning for Thanksgiving, 2005. Went to allears.net and saw that lots of resturaunts will have Thanksgiving menus. I'd love to hear recommendations (mostly the ones outside of the parks).

The Swan and Dolphin hotels have wonderful holiday menus and variety. Check their website. ::MickeyMo

We just completed our 4th TG at WDW... We've eaten at:
- 2001 YC/BC Convention center. Not sure they do this every year. A HUGE buffet was set up. The food was great, the decor was so so.
- 2002 Artist Point. We love this restaurant. Eat here every trip. The TG dinner was a little plain, however. Standard fare. Not bad, but not memorable.
- 2003 Liberty Tree Tavern. We might have timed our sitting, poorly. The lobby was overly crowded, and after dinner we exited in to a crush of people seated for the parade. Not my idea of a traditional TG experience... I found the food to be good. Nothing special. And our server seemed a little frazzled from a very busy day. No a relaxing experience if that's what you're looking for.
- 2004 Whispering Canyon. The meal was more my speed...all you can eat viddles. Casual atmosphere. Great location, right next to a beautiful Christmas themed WL lobby... This will be our pick next year.

In 2000 we went to Yacht Club Galley. Excellent buffet....then we took a stroll over to MGM to see the Osbourne lights...we're actually going in 2005 too, but will be there the Sat after Thanksgiving. If we were there, probably would go to YCG again.

We went to Tony's Town Square Thanksgiving 2001 and thought the setting was great, and we had a view of the parade for our sitting area, the food was so so. Turkey seemed like pressed roll, mashed potatoes were OK but not the greatest. The experience was nice - had the entire family there, even my grown sons, and like I said, the parade really added to it. But, don't go for the food as I've had far better Thanksgiving meals elsewhere.
