Best tactics for visiting w/ coworkers

I just moved to southern CA from the east coast. I could walk around WDW blindfolded, but I haven't been to DL in about a hundred yrs (give or take!) I have a week off & talked some of my corkers into joining me at DL. My boss (also a good friend) used to work at WDW, so he is thrilled to join us w/ his partner.

Anyway, here's the question: how does one do 12 hours in the parks + car rides with coworkers you don't know too well? I'm used to either travelling alone or travelling w/ family & close friends who could easily say to each other, "OK! That's enough. I'm walking over here for a breather. Do NOT follow me." I really like these people, but have never spent more than 2 hours in their company & I have b*tchy resting face! :rolleyes1 I don't want them to think I don't like them, but, as I say, this is a new experience for me & Disney can make even the nicest person a little cranky when the exhaustion sets in & that could mean anyone in the party. So, what are your best tactics for staying happy in the Happiest Place on Earth?'

Thanks!

I'd probably set it up as soon as everyone's together that everybody has a "my time" card (or cards) that they can play at anytime during the visit to "get away" for XX amount of time and be by themselves, if necessary.

The only thing I can think of to make the day go bit easier is when you first get there, go to the cove bar in DCA and get some liquor or one of Rita's Margaritas to start off the day to loosen everybody up.

That's honestly what I would do if I found myself in your predicament. I personally would rather fly solo than go with strangers but different strokes for different folks. Good luck with it.

I travel with my boss who is also my good friend, and we have an unwritten rule that if one needs space then just say it. I will often go get a drink or the fast passes, or go on a ride she wont just to give us some time apart. I will also do it with my husband and son. no point in getting upset with someone because you need some space. Im sure they will want to spend time apart too.. you can do the divide and conquer speech, about getting more done apart than together, and meeting up at certain rides to re connect and spend some time together and of course eat. hope you all have fun.

All good ideas, folks! Thanks! I esp. like the idea of just being up front about hey-this-is-just-how-I-roll. That & the margaritas!
