I was wondering what everyone thinks is the best table service in MK other than Crystal Palace - we ate there once and hated it - so wondering about the others.

SOOOOOO excited we got free dining in Decemeber today. WOOHOO!

Thanks so much!

The only good TS lunch in the Magic Kingdom is Liberty Tree Tavern. Other than that, your best bet is to take the monorail over to the Poly for the Kona Cafe.

We had the same thing with Liberty Tree Tavern. People loved it, raved about it. We didnt like it much.

It gets bad press but we had a really good meal at Tony's. Our server was wonderful. Dd had her pasta with butter, Dh had shrimp dish and I had the flatbread. We plan to go back sometime again, I guess it would be the only place beside the Plaza that I would do a TS at Magic Kingdom.

Another option is to take the monorail to Cont. and eat at The Wave. We have had outstanding meals there. Its a nice break from the parks and a hidden gem!

Liberty Tree Tavern is very good, we also enjoyed The Plaza Resturant, nice simple meal with great deserts.

Oh, I don't rave about it by any means. I've had a good dish here and there, but Magic Kingdom is the pits - in my estimate - when it comes to TS dining.
And I've been hearing good things about Tony's lately, maybe it's worth a revisit one of these days. :)

People seem to really like liberty tree tavern, for me it is too much likemregular food easily found in my own kitchen.

I like Crystal Palace. A few of the buffet items are this side of unusual and very tasty!

I agree that the TS choices are not the best in MK. I am looking forward to the new B&B TS in FL. I think that it is really better to go to a nearby resort. We also love the Kona Cafe at the Poly! Kinda Sad that the MK doesn't have better TS. We have tried all of them except Tony's none of them were favorites.

Top of the MK list, we like CRT (food & dining in the castle are good...but it is expensive $$ or 2 TS if you're on the dining plan, so that's a big consideration.)
Next choice would probably be The Plaza, followed by Tony's, then Crystal Palace. Liberty Tree would be bottom of the heap for dinner, for sure...agree with PP that LTT dinner is too much like regular dinner food you'd find in your own kitchen...nothing special there. Not actually bad food, just nothing to pay those prices for, lol.

If you can leave for awhile, I'd hop the monorail and go to Kona Cafe, or The Wave, or the Grand Floridian Cafe. We've had great meals at all 3 places...each are one TS credit if you're on the dining plan, too.

We actually had a great meal at Tony's. My family rated it #2 of the week, just behind LeCellier (and they were having a great night while we were there).

We loved The Plaza...good steak fries and milkshake!!! We will do this everytime now for dinner one night!!!:cool1:

Good table service really is lacking in MK. I'd hop on the monorail and go to The Wave at Cont. or Kona at the Poly. Liberty Tree would be ok at lunch; now that the characters are gone I wouldn't pay the price for dinner. The Plaza would also be ok for lunch, but for a good TS dinner I'd hit the resorts.

We loved our lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern. The food was very good as was the service. My son loved his salmon cakes and he still talks about them. I thought their Colony Salad was very tasty! And my husband was a big fan of the bacon cheese burger. We will more than likely be back for lunch next year. :thumbsup2

When compared to Epcot, the other parks' TS offerings seems lacking.

Best Food- Liberty Tree Tavern (although it isn't gourmet or unusual at all).

Best Atmosphere- CRT

I do like heading to a monorail resort for a TS meal and just enjoying a Mickey bar in the park itself- best meal in the MK! :mickeybar

Crystal Palace - love it for breakfast but will not do the dinner again.

CRT - Have really enjoyed breakfast, lunch and dinner here. I'm a little sorry I did not book one for our trip next month.

Plaza - We have a tradition of booking lunch here on our last day. Simple food, great desserts.

Tony's - We ate dinner here last trip and will be going back in August. We really enjoyed the meal and was surprised it turned out to be a favorite last trip. I had booked and cancelled many times in the past because of the mixed reviews.

I have to agree with Tony's. We went there the first time a couple years ago and absolutely loved it. All we heard were bad reviews but figured we would try it out and we all liked it very much

We love Crystal Palace for breakfast and Liberty Tree Tavern for either lunch or dinner. Tried Tony's and was very disappointed. Good luck!
