We just booked a trip to WDW for November 14-November 19 and I'm trying to make some ADR's. Any ideas on what the best table service restaurant would be with a one year old?

TIA! :thumbsup2

Dinner at Biergarten with the band might be a good one. Its very informal and communal. No need to be quiet or sit too long.

Another one with a fun "show" is Restaurant Marrakesh...they have a belly dancer, and invite people up to dance with her....a one year old may be too little to participate except in the arms of a willing parent...but having all that music and activity going on might make it easier to keep them occupied.

Maybe Coral Reef because there is an entire wall that is a glass aquarium and that too might keep a little one occupied.

I'd probably stay away from Le Cellier, as it's dark and intimate and slower paced, non of which are particularly kid friendly, lol.

If the toddler is a girl and enjoys Princesses, you might try to get in at Akershus for the Storybook Princess character meal. The food at lunch and dinner is not typical American fare, but there is a buffet portion that will have a few things that toddler can eat like fruits and cheeses and such. We enjoyed the different foods, but I know some people stick to breakfast here because of the atypical foods at the other meals.

There are MANY wonderful CS meals in Epcot that should satisfy a parents need for something beyond burgers and pizza (which is about all you'll find at CS in DHS)...and of course CS tends to be a quicker meal so that is better for the toddler. If you're on the dining plan though you can't trade TS for CS so that may not help...but without the plan, I personally would probably do mostly CS meals in Epcot with a little one, as I love the variety!

Our favorite Epcot TS meal is the Garden Grill. It is one of our kids favorite character meals. The character interaction we had was great. Chip and Dale were wonderful. They spent more time at our table than any other characters did at other meals. Our boys liked that the restaurant rotated. Our daughter was 15 months when we ate here. She wasn't too fond of the characters, so your 1 year toddler might be as adverse to them as she was. We liked the food - it was family style and we thought it was good "kid friendly" food, nothing too exciting, but predictable enough that you know your kids will eat it.

The restaurant we are going to next time is Coral Reef. I think that the fish and other sea animals will be exciting for your toddler....lots of stuff to look at. I know nothing about the food, but the atmosphere might be worth it.

Thanks for all the help, I just booked an early dinner (lunch for us) at the Restaurant Marrakesh since I know she's fond of couscous and other Moroccan food. For some reason I hadn't thought of that as being kid friendly, but it IS WDW, so I imagine nearly every place should be. =)
To a pp: we have a free dining plan (never had a dining plan before), which is why we're trying to find a TS place.

Garden Grill!:thumbsup2 It has characters, is relatively quiet and low key, and is sit down so you don't have to run around to get your food with a one year old.:crazy2:

Biergarten is a good choice because of the band. The Coral Reef is another good choice, all the fish will keep anyone entertained. And the Garden Grill is a good choice as well, they have characters and the restaurant slowly rotates so the scenery changes as well.

Teppon Edo!

We booked Teppon edo thinking it was the sushi place... my 4 and 5 year old LOVE sushi (at least the cooked stuff).

Turns out it was a hibachi grill kind of place. The waitress helped teach the boys how to use chopsticks, then the chef was really good and they just sat there and stared at him the whole time.

Don't know how old your daughter is, but it worked out well for us!

I would suggest either the Garden Grill with the characters or the Living Seas depending on what your toddler is more into. If he/she really likes watching fish and sharks, they might get a real kick out of the Living Seas. If not, then I'd go with the Garden Grill with the characters.

We just got back a couple of weeks ago with DS, 15 months. We ate at Crystal Palace (my fave), Spoodles, Brown Derby, Tutto Italia, Raglan Road, Tusker House and Rose and Crown. Any place at WDW, with very few exceptions, are tot friendly. As far as I can tell, DS enjoyed the Character Meals the best and Brown Derby the least....he was in a funk that day and ended up throwing his broccoli all over the table....our server LOVED us!;)

We take nephews, nieces and godchildren to Coral Reef,Marrakesh and occasionally will go out the back entrance to take them to Flying Fish.
Chefs de France has window seats for crowd watching as well.

All have interesting features and fun food choices.Coral Reef is the most re-requested by far.

The Garden Grill would be a good choice. We ate there this trip and the food was delicious. I saw plenty of small children who all seemed to enjoy the restaurant and its changing scenery.

biergarten would be loudish, so no worries about the 1yo. although it has been years since i have eaten there (and the reviews are not great) the san angel inn in mexico had so much ambiance that might be really fun and distracting for a toddler...
