My husband loves his sushi :crazy2:
we will be using the dining plan so I was wondering if there are any good sushi places on the plan? if not, where is the best place for sushi...he's going to eat his sushi plan or no plan :goodvibes
thanks in advance!

Haven't been there yet (we have an ADR in Oct), but I know the California Grill in the CR has sushi on the menu. Takes 2 ts credits on the dining plan to eat there though. On the bright side, I have yet to see sushi on anyone's list of menu items excluded from the dining plan. ;)

This question is Soooooooooo easy to answer. CALIFORNIA GRILL, hands down. In fact, when we last ate there they were employing 1 of the top 5 female sushi chefs in the world. :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

My family knows sushi, we eat it all of the time, but this was the best, at least 3 cuts above. We plan to indulge again in December.

I saw the sushi on the menu. Are the prices listed per roll? What do you reccomend and about how much do you think it will cost? Have an ADR for late Aug and looooooooove sushi!

You know, I don't remember. We ordered the sushi sampler and split it among 6, which was just a few pieces/person - but we wanted to save room for the rest of the meal, which was equally awesome.

Honestly, the price for the whole meal was one of our most expensive, but we expected that and we don't every time (just every other time
:) )

The only WDW restaurant I've had the sushi at is Wolfgang Puck's. And it was wonderful, I would highley recommend it.

So then sushi would just be an appetizer and not a full meal at CG?

Yes, it is an appetizer.

Unless they would let me order that as my meal its really not worth it to me. I eat a roll or two and I"m completely full!

It's not on the plan, but Kimonos at the Swan has the best sushi. It's a sushi bar with karaoke at night, so it's a great place to just hang and have great food.

You can absolutely order is as your "meal." CG is the kind of restaurant that exists to make your meal an experience. Kinda like Burger King, "you can have it your way!"

And if you have the Orlando Magicard, you get a 10% discount. :flower:

I had the "Snake in the grass" at CG for an appeitzer and it was great.

The sushi at Mat-sa-noma Lounge at Japan is pretty decent. I know some people think it's not the best, but I enjoy it. But I don't think the lounge is on the plan.

I second this. Kimonos has the best selection of authentic Sushi and Sashimi on property. Also lots of Sake :cool1:

I think they will just let you eat sushi if you want.

I misunderstood the question.

As a HUGE fan of Sushi, I can highly recommend Kimonos at the Swan. I have eaten there several times with no complaints :) Enjoy
