Best Sunrise

We'll be at Aluani Feb 15 to 21st. We'll have a Jeep, we are headed to the East Coast probably on Monday. Where is best to see sunset, Makapu'u or Pali? This makes a difference on which way we'll head over. Also what time should we leave for either of these?

depends on what type of sunset you want to see (ocean, mountain, etc.)

you can also consider viewing it from aulani itself, waikiki, or the north shore.

time to leave would also depend on weekday or weekend...and where you're leaving from, you'll want to be wherever you decide on well in advance, and be aware that many beaches will have their parking gates closed at/around sunset.

if you meant sunrise, kailua, and hawaii kai have numerous great spots (but traffic on weekdays can mean you need to be up at 4 am or earlier leaving from aulani)

for Sunrise, I would definitely recommend hiking up the Makapu'u trail.
