Can someone suggest some rental co for a stroller? I'm looking at the city mini upon rec on here. TIA!

Also, when do I need to reserve it for an April trip?

We went with Orlando Stroller Rentals - they drop the stroller off at the concierge desk on your check-in date and you leave it there when you leave and they will pick it up. No muss, no fuss.

However, be careful what name you list if you use them! When it asked what name we wanted on the tag, I just put my son's name (since he would be the one riding in it), but there was a small snafu in finding the stroller because even though the reservation was under our last name, the stroller was listed under "The Lucas Family" (my son's first name).

I would consider using them again - good quality strollers for kids of all ages (my son is 6 and we used it walking to and from MK - a lifesaver when you're walking back to Bay Lake at midnight).

I should state that it will be at the main concierge desk - not the front desk. We stayed in Bay Lake Tower, so the stroller was at the concierge desk in the Contemporary.

I would go ahead and make reservations for April - I don't think they would run out, since Easter is in March, but I'm the type that likes to get those things out of the way, so I don't forget about them later :).

I can honestly say that after spending way too much time on these boards I haven't seen a negative review of any of the offsite stroller companies. We have been to the parks very frequently and all of the offsite rentals always look clean and in "new" condition.

I would agree that I haven't seen a negative reveiw of any company. I will also state that I would go with a company that is "sanctioned" by Disney meaning that they are allowed to leave the stroller with Bell Services and it will be there waiting for you when you get there and you can leave it with Bell Services when you leave. I always use Orlando Stroller Rentals for this reason. There are some stroller companies that you will have to meet to pick up the stroller and drop it off. That is just a little more than I want to deal with.

We've used magic strollers and kingdom strollers, both great! We're planning on a trip this April and I looked into both of them and Orlando strollers....and kingdom is the cheapest, so we'll go with them. I actually hate to rent a stroller this time because we've always rented a double for the 2 older ones since I wear the baby but we're going to just rent a single this time. Now that the baby isn't a baby baby anymore, I'm expecting I won't be wearing him as much in the parks so we're renting one just in case. :)

I have used both Orlando Stroller and Magic Stroller...

They offer the same stroller types, if I recall magic strollers is slightly cheaper and they recently offred a 10% discount (every little bit helps...right?).

I have been happy with both companies.

We used Kingdom last year and Baby Wheels this year. Baby Wheels was a little cheaper. Both were excellent! :thumbsup2

This happened to me too, with the name switch. I laughed hard, but my husband, who had been to bell services 3 times was less amused. It was pretty cool to be the Noodles all week though, LOL.

I supported Orlando because they support the DIS. Gotta do business with the people who support you, right? For a minute it looked like Kingdom would have been cheaper, but then Orlando's insurance was cheaper, so it was the same price.

Lol! Glad to know we're not the only ones making the mistake! I actually called the stroller company and asked for a refund because the stroller wasn't delivered and got a message back that it was under the different name (we'd already figured it out at Bell Services by that point, but the call back was nice).

Has anyone had an issue with the stroller being stolen or misplaced? Wonder how these stroller companies deal with that. I'm trying to decide between bringing my own, renting from Disney in the parks, and renting from an outside company.

I got insurance from Orlando, and while I didn't comb through the contract, it was my understanding the insurance would protect me from being liable if it were stolen.

I think insurance covers theft. I don't know if we got insurance or not, but we used the stroller to walk from Bay Lake Tower to MK several times that week and we parked it at the front, out of the way in a smaller stroller parking lot. We toured the park at our own pace and then DS used the stroller on the way back to the hotel. It was a lifesaver - last year (on those late nights) DH had to carry him on his shoulders back to the Contemporary and was worn out.

After much research, we have rented 3 times with Kingdom Strollers. I can not give Matt and his team a more positive and strong recommendation!! They reply quickly to emails (in mere minutes!), and they are so helpful that it's just incredible!

We tried a different double stroller this last trip (Christmas), and as soon as we started rolling, we decided that we wanted the jogger stroller back. It was soooo easy to switch strollers! After one email, the jogger was brought to our rental home, and even though my in-laws said that the stroller wasn't there (even though it was), Kingdom Stroller staff left us the new stroller! We were able to quickly remedy the problem with a text message and a phone call, and they went back to the house to get the other stroller! Never at any point in any of this craziness (totally caused by us!) were we ever made to feel like we were being annoying. Delivery, pick-up, switch, etc, was all done with smiles and thanks from Kingdom Stroller staff!

Even with our last minute switch in holiday season, we got a beautiful stroller that was impeccably clean and in tip-top shape. The cooler bag and rain cover included at no charge were both extremely helpful during our two weeks in Florida. Amazing customer service. Beautiful strollers. I just can't say enough fantastic things about them!

I read something about a stroller company having to be "disney preferred" to leave a stroller with Bell service. I know Orlando strollers is preferred. Do you know if anyone else is?
Thanks!

Glad you asked this question, have been researching stroller rental companies also for our April trip. I like Baby Wheels, the strollers come with free parent console, rain cover and cooler. I also like Kingdom strollers. Orlando strollers seem to be the most expensive. I have priced 7 companies. I am interested in the City mini GT ( wanted the one that had a little larger weight limit if my 6 yo decodes she needs a break) and some companies did not offer that one. Has anyone seen any coupons?

This was rumored to happen back in November when ECV companies had to be preferred. It is not the case for strollers. We rented in December from Baby Wheels with no problems!

Has anyone used DiscountStrollerRentals.com? They are the cheapest that I have found, just wanting to hear feedback if anyone has used them. Thanks

I justfinished reserving the City Mini for my upcomming trip in February and then decided to come to the boards for reviews! :rotfl2: I did great then!

I found that Kingdom was cheaper this time, only being $60 for my 6 day rental, whereas Orlando is $75 and Magic $70.

Also I gave my whole name for the stroller tag since I'm the one that's renting...i've already made a stroller tag with princesses on it.

This will be a lifesaver...when girls are down for their nap, I'll set up my DH in a corner with them and I'll go ride me some rides!:cool1:

Kingdom strollers was great, love that they give a cooler that allowed us to bring our frozen water bottles. the rain cover was not great though next time i will buy or borrow one from home. (its the standard babby jogger one, not the fault of the rental company)
