What stroller do you recommend taking to WDW? My son is 3 yrs old and I currently have a Maclarren stroller but it doesn't seem too comfortablefor him and it doesn't seem to shield him from sun very well. I also would like a stroller that reclines for those afternoon naps. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks!

Say no more. Look no further. This, or gracos' equivilent is the perfect one.

We had one that went countless times in 6 years, even with friends of ours. We finally left it behind at our resort with a "free to good home" sign on it.

Its got a big basket for all your stuff. A canopy for shade. Cupholders for you and child. The front tray snaps off so you can stow it when he';s not snacking, making it easier to climb in and out. Its not the most compact, but you can certainly carry it with one hand. Just add the rain cover, and some neon tape to the handle so you can see it in a stroller parking lot, and you're all set. And with the rpice, you wont worry every time you leave it unattended.

We have a Joovy Groove and LOVE it! We just got back from our first WDW trip with it and it worked great for us. It reclines back pretty far and the sun shade is huge. The best thing ever is that it reclines by pushing a button... so convenient! You can buy them on Walmart or Babies R Us websites. I think their website is www.joovy.com if you want to check them out. They also come with a complete second set of everything in black (seat, sunshade and harness). Here are a couple of pics of my 14mo son (asleep at AK and checking out the Rainforest Cafe sign):

The Baby Trend mentioned above is the one we have taken on two trip now..and it will be with us on the third in a few months. It's great: large basket, lightweight and not too expensive if something happens to it. You could easily spend that much on rentals.

Haven't used at Disney yet, but plan to. Reclines fully, big canopy shade with mesh peephole, big accessible basket, high handles, bottle holder, 2 cup holders and snack tray for the baby. 4 wheel independent suspension (like little shock absorbers), nice rubber wheels. Pretty wide - holds up to 45lbs, but only weighs an amazing 12 lbs. One hand fold and release takes about 2 seconds, and stands upright. Has a carrying handle on the side.

I freakin' love this stroller. Totally worth every penny ($199 at BabiesRUs)

I have the knock off of yours I think. The Eurotrend. What I did is buy the Kiddopotomus sun shade (SPF 50+ for about $15). It is really compact - think a wire and then you attach it in two or four places with the velcro (very strong), so you can remove it if you want. It really covers them. I'm taking mine rather than renting there. I figure it has sit better than hard plastic! Mine folds up just like an umbrella, so it shouldn't be too hard on the bus. HOPING anyway! I just think it will be easier on the busses than taking a traditional stroller.

GOOD LUCK

Your son is soo cute. Thank you for your suggestion. It looks nice.

I only really recommend a rental for older kids who probably wont fall asleep on the go, or who will probably walk most of the time and maybe only need the stroller once on the trip for the extra long day.

Has anyone rented before? Do you recommend?

No. Too much $$ and not as convenient, esp. in MK. Say you want to take the train to the other side of the park to do some rides there. An umbrella style stroller can be folded up and taken with you. That big bulky rental? It's staying there until you get back there.

Also good to have for resorts, DTD etc.

If you don't have an umbrella stroller, try Craigslist and yard sales for one to use on the trip and then pass along to someone else. The best umbrella stroller we ever had (long handles for tall DH) was $1 at a yard sale. Took that to Paris and left it there when we were done with it.

We have a Maclaren Triumph which I love but for our last trip we needed a second one for my other DS who was 1 1/2 at the time. My DH didn't want to spend a lot but I was looking for something that had a leg rest which seemed more comfortable to nap in. I bought the Britax Esprit for only $50 or slightly less. 11 pounds so it was great for the parks. Both kids napped everyday in their strollers which eliminates the need to go back to the resort. Saves a lot of time!

for those of you with BIG kids looking at strollers to buy, this stroller is one of only 2 (Maclaren Volo being the other one) that I've now seen that holds 55# kids. That's a plus!

Thanks for showing me a 2nd stroller for "big" kids.

FYI - The basic weight of the Maclaren Triumph is 11# and holds up to 55#; however, according to Amazon.com, the Britax Esprit only holds up to 40#.

I also called my local consignment shops and told them to be on the lookout for a Maclaren stroller and to call me if one becomes available. Sure, they might mark it up more than otherwise but that's ok as long as it's not full (brand new) price!

Thank you... I think he is really cute too but you know, Im kinda partial lol. We love our Joovy!! The color also helps find it in a crowded stroller parking area.

The higher weight capacity was one of many selling points for me. I was originally sold on a Kolcraft stroller but the weight capacity was only like 35 or 40lbs so I decided to keep looking. For me, I couldnt see spending the same money on a Maclaren and then have to buy extra accessories (bigger sunshade, parent organizer, etc). Also, I got a great deal on my stroller on Ebay!!!

Does anybody have any experiences with the Baby Planet Stroller? I am still not sure what kind of stroller I want. I have 3 weeks to find something.

Anymore suggestions?

Thanks!
