Any thoughts on the best travel stroller for tall toddlers-- we haven't had much luck finding a good one.......

Thanks
Flo

We also love the Maclaren Volo!!! We got ours for under $80.00 at strollers4less.com. We have been through at least 7 strollers between my two children, and we found the Volo to be the best umbrella 8 pound stroller, for very tall toddlers. My DD is 38" tall and she was touching the wheels with her feet on our other lightweight strollers like the Combi's and Kolocraft. We found two wonderful strollers, thanks to the rave reveiws on this board. We have the Maclaren Volo in the Poppy Red color, very nice, and the Peg Perego Pliko P3, which is a superb stroller if your little one still needs to take a nap in, since it reclines and has the sun shade and snack tray, but it is heavier than the Volo.

What ever your needs are, these are both WONDERFUL strollers, that a very tall child can fit in without looking uncomfortable, and also they both fold umbrella style, and push like a dream. We love the tall handles for us too so we don't have to slouch over and push. The Combi's were terrible for that reason alone!!!:wave2:

Definitely the volo. We have it and the accessory pack for the hood which you need living down here. My DD is 50 lounds and 45 1/2 inches tall and she has loads of room to grow and it still pushes like a dream. I got it at livingcomfort.com for $103 including stroller and accessory pack.

sorry for the brief reply - I was on my way out when I spotted your post.

We have the pre-cursor to the Volo and it's a fab stroller - superb for an older child who doesn't need to lie flat for a nap.

For a younger child we have the Chicco 2003 (also called Touring), which is similiar to the Pliko, except here in the UK it's a lot cheaper, not sure how prices compare over there.

That's a great stroller but it's a lot more expensive and it's bigger and heavier when folded. My dd (age 1) sleeps like a dream in it though, and DD (Age nearly 6) can ride in it too, although I discourage that, but it is certainly big and strong enough

Thank-you all--I'm going to be getting a Volo soon!!!!!!!!! Just the info I needed!!!!!!!!!!!

I greatly appreciate all your replies!!!!!!!!

Another Volo fan here! One of the biggest benefits aside from being able to carry taller kiddies is that it's got higher handles, so if you're tall, you won't feel like Quasimodo. LOL! Love it!
