Until we all find out more this is what I would plan and think about if I were you...
At this point plan on arriving 65min before the gate is scheduled to open. Review and adjust as needed once you are less than 4 weeks from to your park date as the v/blogers and people on the board who attend will give helpful updates to when the gate gets busy and what the crowds are actually doing once gates are opened.
Figure out if you want to pay the $215ea for a lightsaber and/or $107ea to build a droid. My family will be passing on these two experiences as I do not think its worth it...also because I have 3 kids who would each want one and that is not happening.
We will be going to Oga's and in preparations I will be searching like a hawk for any tips on the reservation process. DL is using same day reservation and who knows if WDW will be the same. Also note that at DL a reservation at either Oga's or Savi's guaranteed that party entry into SWGE but that wasnt an issue past the first day. I dont think it will be that nuts for your trip ( limited entry into SWGE) but it will likely come into play several times during the peak park dates (winter break, spring break and summer) the first year.
Seems like DL demand from highest to lowest (relatively) is...
