Best strategy regarding first time deluxe stay....fax or ask?

We are "moving on up" (a la the Jeffersons) to the Wilderness Lodge this summer as part of the FTP.


This is our first time in deluxe and I'm wondering if

a) that shows in the CRO files... we've stayed at Assp three times prior... so they already know..


b) Faxing the request.. and putting in the line something like...after stating the request... putting in a very innocent line like "We are so excited to be going to a deluxe resort for the first time. Thank you in advance regarding the room request"


or c) Better to get there, ooh and aaahh, and then have my DH (who usually does the check in ) mention it to the desk clerk as we are checking how we are looking forward to our first stay at a deluxe resort?


Not that we are looking for any upgrades, hey, we're so grateful that we are there.. .but just wondering for the best strategy would be with this...


I've never faxed room requests before either. Right now they have us down on the reservation as 5th floor standard room/with bunk beds.

No need to fax since your request is in with your reservation. Not sure how many rooms have bunk beds. That may eliminate other options.

Your Sports stays might show but they won't know by that that you have never stayed at a deluxe resort.

No problem at all with doing this.

You can do this in addition to b.

Just remember that what you are asking for are only requests. You may or may not get them. Don't go in expecting to get all your requests just because it's your first stay at WL if it will ruin your vacation if you don't get them.
