Last year when we went we could only pick our 3 FP per day. This year we can pick our 3 FP per day and then I guess we can pick more when our FP are gone, when we are there. So the question is, should I pick all my FP for morning hoping to get more for the afternoon when Im there? Back in the day the afternoon FP were always gone, are there still some available now?? Just a little confused.

We did all of ours late morning/early afternoon (during the more busy hours) since if you get there at park open, the first 1-2 hours there are usually no/less lines, so take advantage of that! We got a few after our initial, but it was not that convenient gong to the fp booths too book additional ones.

I always make my earliest fast passes sometime around 10:45. Going at rope drop, you can ride several things without much of a wait at all. I figure by 10:30-11:00 lines have started to grow. Some people say they have lots of luck getting their passes early and getting to choose a 3rd, 4th, 5th....etc. Other people get theirs in the early afternoon and later and just wait in standby lines until later in the day. Personally I like to spread mine out a little (10:45, 1:30, 4:00). It gives me time to do things like lunch and rides that might not have too much of a wait without worrying about being in line and cutting it close to my fast pass window. I have been able to add later fast passes for a couple of the headliners before and there have been times when there was nothing we wanted to do left. I never worry too much about getting extra fast passes, but I also don't really mind waiting in line if it is something I really want to do.

I remember going as a young teenager when there were no fast passes (pre 1999) and waiting over two hours for many of the rides. It was just what you did.

This is one of the questions I address in the green link in my signature.

Don't get anything too early. Say FP's between 10 and 1, lunch, then back to the hotel for a break. We had no trouble getting additional FPs at MK for the late afternoon and evening, but we weren't trying for anything like 7 dwarves or Peter Pan.

If all 5 of us are going to the MK do we all have to do the same FP? Can we do different attractions? I read your link but I didn't think I could do that last year, so we all did same FP's.

The link mentions that after you select FPs for everyone as a group, you can modify each individually.
