Best strategy for Epcot- TT and Soarin'?

I would FP Soarin and motor on over to TT first thing. This is myself and my DD's strategy every time and we have never encountered a TT line over 30 minutes at opening. My suggestion if the line looks too long would be to do Singe Rider for TT

Hello DISers!

So here is the scenario

Epcot Day.
Opening at 8am (EMH).
Daughter has a dance workshop at 9am.
She wants to ride both Soarin' and TT. This will be the first time she will ride them, so SR line for TT is out of the question.

We plan to be there for RD, but will most likely get there closer to 8, not much earlier (I doubt we will be able to get up before 7am!). Will I be able to get one of those rides out of the way before her workshop? If so, which one do we have a better chance with? If you don't think I would be able to get one of those out of the way, then I may not go for RD and just go for the workshop at 9am.

If I wait to do both rides after her workshop, which one should I FP?

Since Test Track breaks down more often and/or is subject to weather, I'd always FP+ TT to make certain that I can always avoid the standby line.

Here is another question..... is there a time posted for the SR line? Or do we just have to guess how long the wait will be?

I always FP Soarin no matter what.. that queue can be very slow and boring. And then I will do the single rider line at TT so the fastpass isn't even needed.. and you will literally get on in at least 5-10 minutes doing the SR line... we always go in Nov and do SR for Test track and it has been a walk on every time- but no posted wait time. i believe. Sometimes you may even get put in the same car (not a guarantee) but it has happened for us on more than one occasion. The times we have been separated, we were one car behind eachother.

Yes, there is a wait time listed. It's accuracy is anyones guess. But we've rarely waited longer than 10 minutes.

Thanks everyone!!! I will get a FP for Soarin' and determine later when we will ride TT. I'll talk to my daughter at SR. I have a feeling when I tell her the difference in wait time she will buck up and take the chance on SR. Now to figure out my other two FPs for Epcot.....

If you don't care about FPs for other Epcot rides, you could cancel the other two (in the morning, BEFORE you ride Soarin), then ride Soarin, then go to a kiosk and get TT FPs for later.

I just saw this post! That is a great idea, because I actually don't know what I want for my other two FP. Maybe Spaceship earth but I don't have a preference for the third. why do I have to cancel the other two before I ride soarin' though? I'm still a newbie with this FP stuff!!

If you can't be at the park early you're kinda of trapped. Pick the ride you want most and get a FP (if possible)............I'd say FP Soar'in and then single rider on TT. FP's for both rides can be hard to come by at a kiosk..........not impossible but..........not a guarantee either.

I'm not sure why, but that's just how it works! I think that otherwise the system will act like you are rescheduling your 2nd and 3rd FPs and limit you to 2nd tier rides. But if you cancel before, then for some reason it thinks you are scheduling your 4th FP and can choose from any tier.

We went to Epcot in June. We:
Arrived at 8:15 (rope drop was 9, but they always let you in 15 min earlier). We headed straight to Soarin. Rode it. When we got off at 9:15, the line was already an hour wait. We had fp+ for TT later.
