Best strategy for Epcot Rope Drop, Frozen or Soarin'?

We have an early 7:30am ADR at Trattoria al Forno - Disney's BoardWalk, so should be at International Gateway by 8:45 or so. Is best strategy to heard straight for Soarin' or Frozen Ever After first thing in the morning without a FP? What are the lines typically like at park opening for those rides?

When we arrived at opening last June we went straight to Soarin and had about a 10 minute wait. That was walking from the International Gateway. We did fastpass for Frozen.

The one time we did Frozen last Oct we walked on Soarin' at the IG RD and used a FP+ for Frozen. Worked for us.

Frozen but I'd try to be there earlier than 8:45. Frozen will grow to a 30+ min wait within 10 min of the park being open.

Soarin will build too but not as quick as Frozen.

If you want to do Frozen without a FP then that should be first priority

we were at Epcot 2 weeks ago on a Friday with a school field trip. We arrived at around 10:00am. The listed wait time for Soarin was 60 minutes by then and 45 minutes for Frozen. We went to Frozen first and got on the ride in about 25 minutes rather than the 45 minutes listed wait time. We went to Soarin afterward and the listed wait time was 70 minutes and we got on in about 65 minutes.

So based on that experience, I would head to Soarin first since it appeared to have longer wait times and you actually waited for most of the posted time.

With a 7:30 ADR at a new character dining experience, that might be rough. If you can't arrive at the gate before the first boat from the epcot resorts drops off (between 8:15 - 8:20) then I would head to Soarin first.

Actually, I would probably head to Test Track first then Soarin and do both Standby but FEA with no FP and an arrival AT the IG gateway at 8:45 would put you in a huge standby line.
