Best Strategy for entering with a one day ticket/pass

Hi,
We have vacationed at Disney World for many years and have always stayed at a Disney Resort. We will be taking a cruise in December, and on the day the ship returns we plan to check in at the Hyatt Orlando Airport and then travel to Magic Kingdom for one long day returning to the Hyatt that night and a flight home the next day. Can we buy one day tickets now online, take an Uber from Hyatt Orlando Airport to Contemporary and then walk to Magic Kingdom with our tickets? I'm trying to make things go as quickly as possible so we can have the maximum time at the park. Do we need to go to the ticket and transportation center? I would really rather save time and Uber right to the Contemporary resort. Thanks for any advice!!

I would absolutely Uber to the Contemporary!
Buy your tickets now, link them to your MDE app, arrange your FPs etc. You can get a one day ticket from Undercover Tourist. If you have old magic bands you could then link them.
IF you are going on a day that offers Early Morning Magic, I would consider getting a ticket for that as well, huge time saver, gets you in early even though you're not in the bubble, and offers a really excellent breakfast that you can enjoy until 10 am.

I'm pretty sure that one day tickets are actually more expensive through the Disney-authorized resellers, and that you are actually better off purchasing a 1 day ticket directly through Disney.
