Hi all,

I figured this would be the best board for my question. :sunny:

On my last trip to WDW I picked up a few adorable little outfits and one toy for my new infant niece. When I return in August, it will likely be my last trip until 2006 and I'd like to pick up some Christmas gifts (and maybe a few before Christmas gifts ;) ) for her too.

What are the best stores on site for WDW baby merchandise? She is currently only 2 months old but I want to get things bigger to put away for as she grows. The outfits I bought her last trip I actually just sort of randomly found at the Philharmagic gift shop of all places. Is there an actual Disney baby store?

Thanks so much!

World of Disney has a nice selection of baby items. When we went in 2003, they had the cutest "prince in training" and "princess in training" items! I was pregnant at the time, but we didn't know the gender yet so we picked up a cute pooh gender neutral item, along with a 2003 bib, and a bowl/cup/fork/spoon set. :)

I've bought a lot of baby stuff at the disney outlet store. I actually found some of the same outfits that they had at the world of disney store but they were half price! It's a good place to find stuffed animals and baby toys too.

For some reason I've found that the big store at epcot has the best selection of sizes.

Skuttle, we have the princess in training shirt (which my daughter wore in DL at 6 months old, and I forgot to wash it first and she broke out in a rash all over her upper body!). We also bought the prince in training shirt for a friend about 2 years ago, and his little brother was wearing it yesterday.

We always get lots of cute stuff at World of Disney. They have a whole baby room, which we probably own all of by now! And if you have APs, which I'm guessing since you are going back again this year, they give you a discount on all purchases. Also, Pooh Corner in DTD has lots of cute stuff, only Pooh though (and no discount). If it's a Christmas gift you're going for, we got the cutest little ornament for our daughter last June at the Christmas shop in DTD (don't remember the name right now, 365 Days of Christmas I think). They have tons of ornaments to choose from, we got a pink one and then they personalized it, something like Madison's First Christmas 2005 (obviously don't have it out right now to check!). They also do all embroidery/personalization there, so you can buy a cute blanket and get her name and birthdate on it. We got a pink blanket at WoD when I was pregnant and had them embroider "Madison" on it (no birthday since she wasn't here yet!).

Some other places we've gotten cute stuff is the Pooh giftshop (after the ride), resort gift shops (Pop had the cutest onesies last May that looked like a Chinese food box and said "Good things come in small packages"-we have one with the smae saying and Tink, but the Chinese food was cuter), and the store in Animal Kingdom that has Christmas stuff in one end, then baby stuff, then in the next room adult stuff. I can't remember the name and don't want to tell you the wrong name by guessing, but it's sorta to the right, like towards Dinoland. We got a very cute Stitch onesie there in April, the only one I've seen made for a girl. It has a little frilly hat with it. I have always found something different and cute there. Mousegear has some baby stuff too, but not sure there's anything you won't find at WoD.

That's really all I can think of, but really, check as many giftshops as you can cause sometimes you find something neat in one and it's nowhere else. Plus, that really helps me when I go to DTD first so I get an idea of what is there, then I don't waste extra money buying it in a park/resort when I could use the AP discount at WoD.

Have fun baby shopping (it's my favorite non-Disney activity!)!!

justhat...we actually found out we were having a boy the week AFTER we returned from WDW. One of my friends went to WDW for a conference the week after we found out and brought back a "prince in training" bib for DS and a blue baby mickey snowglobe. :) I loved that "in training" stuff...in fact, DH had to stop me from just buying one of each. ;)

We got the "princess in training", the "training to be spoiled", and the "Tigger is that you" T-shirt for DD when we were there in December. We also picked up a couple of really cute sundresses at the outlet. They had a little bit of everything sprinkled around. Does anyone who has been recently remember if they still had the cute maternity T-shirts? Those were so cute.

LOL, we found out the week before we went in 10/03 that she was a girl. We bought the prince in training t-shirt for our friend's son in 2/03 and I wanted to buy one for our own kid, even though she wasn't even on the way yet! I just thought it was so cute. Well luckily I had my chance later that year!

Thanks all!

I will have to look for the princess in training stuff when I am there. :goodvibes They sound so cute. You know, now I recall the baby room at WoD. It totally slipped my mind last time because we were only at WoD for about 10 minutes. I have a feeling I'll be using my AP discount there in August also. :) I know I'm going to want to get her everything. I didn't know they made the Tigger is that you? shirt in baby sizes. That's always been a favorite so I'll have to get her one...

Oh I can't wait until her first WDW trip. ;)
