Hi, would like to hear from everyone with opinions on the best steakhouse on or near WDW property. There are so many - Shula's, Yachtsman Steakhouse, Le Cellier, Bull & Bear, Old Hickory. Which one have you been to recently that your family or group loved?

We love Yachtsman Steakhouse and go every trip. Great service and amazing food. I’ve also been to Shula’s and Le Cellier. Enjoyed them both but probably would rank Shula’s above LC.

The quality and service at Shula's far exceeds every restaurant on Disney property save V&A. I have not been to the Bull & Bear. About 10 minutes from Disney Springs you'll find both Morton's and Ruths' Chris, which are each on par with Shula's, IMO. That being the case, I personally would not make a special trip off-property with the Dolphin right there. On a good night, I would put YC's filet very close to as good as you'll find. The drawback with YC can be that it's less consistent than Shula's, and lacks a true fine dining staff. Then again, it's not quite as expensive either.

Our favorite is Bull & Bear by a large margin. Following that (with a large gap) is YSH & Shula's), Le Cellier is far behind. Not at all familiar with Old Hickory.

We have tried Shula’s many times and it’s always been wonderful. We haven’t done Le Collier in years it was just ok when we went nothing bad but we liked Shula’s better. We went to Yachtsman last September and our food and service were horrible. I’m not sure if we caught an off night but they never refilled our water glasses, asked for a second cocktail and even when we asked they forgot! All our food came out if it wasn’t cooked wrong it just wasn’t good. It was so bad my husband who always gives places a second try told me not to even ask to go back and we stay at the YC every trip lol

Shula's. Yes, we HAVE been to Bull & Bear. A wonderful Restaurant, but we did not find food, or service, to be superior to Shula's.
Worth noting - Shula's STEAK, LOBSTER, SURF & TURF, DESERTS.... all on the superior scale. Service? Stunning.
All personal opinion - I'm not necessarily right, no one else is necessarily wrong.
Shula's... DOLPHIN, no DDP, TIW accepted.

I agree with another poster - Bull & Bear is second to none. With that being said my wife and I love Shula s and the Yachtsman as well. In fact we just had a wonderful filet from Narcoossee s just a week ago. We added a poached lobster tail that was amazing. The fact of the matter is we all have sooo many great options to choose from when visiting Disney World - sometimes it comes down to selecting the right atmosphere to go along with a great meal.

We eat at Shulas every year and it is so consistent it is scary, lol. We tried Yachtsman this year for the first time and it was good but my steak was undercooked. The waiter took it back but then I was waiting another ten minutes for my food while everyone else in my party ate but felt bad. The waiter said this happens pretty often. That is a little scary.

So far we have eaten beef steak at the following places all on property:

Boathouse, Yachtsman, Flying Fish, CG, Jiko's, Tokyo Dining and Narccossee's.
Also eaten at Shula's at a different FL locale; at Bull and Bear at it's original locale @ the Waldorf~Astoria in NYC (the man and I ate there separately for business meals. He had steak, I tended toward salads) and STK's also in NYC.

Our current favorite for it's Porterhouse is Boathouse. The fact that it has a credible shellfish raw bar helps too. Nothing wrong with the other places and we would certainly return to all but we prefer the atmosphere at this locale plus DGD insisted we have to return there next trip as we dinna go during our summer trip.

A caveat: STK, Shula's, and Bull and Bear were all places I could eat at in NYC so I'm more interested in going to places I haven't eaten at at home. STK is really loud in NYC and I hear is much the same in DS; Shula's in Manhatten failed and closed down fast which makes me leery about trying the one at SwanDolphin. As well I'm not a big fan of sports memorabilia eateries although it certainly makes the man happy. Of these 3 places we would most likely try the nearby Bull and Bear. Never eaten at any Old Hickory so opinionless

Steak is one thing Disney does pretty well. I've never had a terrible one anywhere there. Even at some of the non steak houses, the steak has been good. I have never had to send one back. Then again I order medium rare which most cooks handle better than say if you like it medium well or well.

That said, of the steakhouses, I think Shula's and Yachtsman are better value than Le Cellier. Have not been to Bull and Bear down there. So I can't comment.

Shula's in Manhatten failed and closed down
Shula's in WDW is probably the best steakhouse on property, but who would go to Shula's when you could go to Keen's or any of the other amazing steakhouses in NYC? Like pretty much nobody.

Cant speak to Old Hickory never been but I would rank our top 6 or so as
1. Bull and Bear
1a. Shulas
2. Citricos
3. Jiko
4. California Grill
5. Le Cellier
6. Boathouse
Not ranked Yachtsman because Ive yet to have a good meal there in 4 tries now with the exception of the the Mac and Cheese.

In order of preference

Shulas
Boathouse
Yatchmans
Jiko
Canada booth at Food & Wine

Last choice- Le Cellier (if It’s my only TS option I eat counter service)

Didn't think Le Cellier was particularly good. I actually think Le Cellier is the worst steak we've had at Disney. Lot's of steakhouses use salt on their steaks but the porterhouse was so salty as to be almost inedible. We really enjoyed Yachtsman but haven't been in a few years.

One of our favorite steaks is not where you expect... the Turf Club in the Saratoga Springs Resort. They have an absolutely phenomenal NY Strip, served with hand cut Rosemary fries, asparagus and garlic butter for under $40. Your call!
