Trying to figure out my dining itinerary I am torn between book either Jiko or Yachtsman Steakhouse. Through my research so far, I have heard rave reviews about both places. Which of the two would you recommend? Also, is there some place I am currently overlooking? I've already tried Le Cellier and it was nothing to rave about.

It may be a bit of a gamble to try "Coral Reef". The first time I ate there, I had the New York Strip. It was dry & bland. The last two times I have eaten there, it was excellent. It was one of the best steaks that I've had. It was tender, juicy, and flavorful. This place gets a lot of mixed reviews, so perhaps they aren't consistent. When it's good, it's good. It was an excellent steak on my last visit. Good luck with your choices.

For a steak I would definitely do Yachtsman. They've served us some of the best steaks we've ever had and its become a most do every trip for us. We love Jiko too, but with their amazing African options I've never even thought about ordering a steak there

We've had the best steak at both Shula's and Yachtsman. Both times the were tender, juicy, flavorful, and cooked the way we wanted it.
I'm sure this question depends heavily on personal experience, and personal taste. I have a guy who works for me who thinks that Applebee's has the best sirloin anywhere. No, I'm not making this up.

Both Jiko and YSH have their adherents here. We've had great experiences at both. I was a bit disappointed in my filet at Jiko last week but that was the exception. YSH is actually our usual choice between the two of them because we love their filet and the onion rolls are to die for.

However, for a really great steak take a short trip "off property" to Bull & Bear at the Waldorf-Astoria.

Coral Reef was great when I was there this week. I also had a steak and it was the only meal I completely finished. I just wasn't hungry all week, but the steak was great at coral reef. I also got steak at BOG, mama Melrose, and Tony's. They were all very good

It depends what kind of steak you want. If by "Steak" you mean "filet mignon" then I think the flavors are much more interesting at Jiko than Yachtsman. If by "steak" you mean "steak" and will figure out what cut you want when you get there, yachtsman wins hands down. I do not really care for strip steak as much as either a ribeye or filet mignon so all of those "1TS" steaks don't appeal much to me (also it is hard to cook a thinner steak medium rare as I prefer)... although I have never had one at a steakhouse so maybe I don't know what I am missing :). But if I was in the mood for "african" i'd go to Jiko. If I wanted "steak", Yachtsman.

Honestly you can't go wrong with either... which will be easier for you to get to that day? I think convenience is really what it comes down to, as well as what other people want in your party.

If you are committed to the Dining plan and have to use one of those places, I would pick Jiko. If your not constrained by the dining plan, The Bull and Bear at the Waldorf has the Best steak "on property" followed by Shulas.

We are trying Yachtsman Steakhouse this year, DH loves a good steak. We are from Iowa, so we are kind of picky about our steaks.

Rose and Crown has a really good steak as well.

The Dis Guys...Pete mostly....would swear that the Yachtsman was the best....but then said the Wagyu steak at the Flying Fish was MUCH better...and considerably cheaper than the Yachtsman.

We tried the Yachtsman for the first time on our trip last week, and it gets my vote hands-down. My filet was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the potato gratin was very good (but the portion was way too big; I think I only ate about 1/3 of it). And the chocolate peanut butter cake for dessert was simply to die for! I have also had good steaks at Rose & Crown, Hollywood Brown Derby, and Chefs de France.

Last month we tried STK at Disney Springs for the first time. I thought the porterhouse for 2 was the best steak we have had on property. The sides and appetizers were also fantastic.

I've been dying to try the Flying Fish. I'll be staying near there in September at the Boardwalk so I'll be giving it a shot!

I had my heart set on trying the steak at Coral Reef but was overruled for Garden Grill

This sounds like my hubby's perfect meal! Will have to put on the To Do list!
