Price not a question. My brother is treating for our anniversary. 4 adults, doesn't matter where in Disney. Would prefer a more casual restaurant. Have never stayed on Disney property. This a 1st (won the trip from Alamo) What would your suggestions be? TIA.

To get a choice for either great steak or great seafood I would suggest Narcoossee's in the Grand Floridian. Here is their menu. It does tend more to the seafood. If you are there during Wishes! the music and narration are piped into the restaurant.

Some other good steak and/or seafood choices that I really enjoy:

Le Cellier (in Epcot)
Yachtsman Steakhouse (at the Yacht Club)
Flying Fish (on the Boardwalk)
Jiko (at Animal Kingdom Lodge)

Congrats on winning a trip- that's awesome!!! :cool1:

I second the Flying Fish-- AWESOME restaurant! :goodvibes

We really liked the California Grill when we were there in January. My husband had the steak and I had the salmon. Very cool atmosphere and we had great service. We also really like Shula's Steakhouse in the Dolphin. The steak and the sides were very good and the atmosphere was very clubby, if you like that. Very much like Joe's Steak and Stone Crab, if you've ever been to one of those.
Hope you have fun!

Loved Yachtsman, I had the surf and turf and it was exceptional. It's also a more casual environment if that's what you're looking for.

I'd say Fultons Crab House at the Market Place. We eat there everytime we visit WDW. Great seafood and the crab and lobster bisque is outstanding. Can't tell you about a good steak place. In our over 200 trips to WDW, I never had what I would consider a great steak. LeCellier would be the closest to pretty decent in my opinion.

Steak--either Shulas or Yachtsman Steakhouse
Seafood--Flying Fish or Blue Zoo

Wow..go for the best on disney property..and go to Flying Fish, and yes they do have the best steak we have ever had on disney property.

Narcoossee is indeed utterly excellent for both steak and seafood. It's a great choice.

The filet mignon at Le Cellier is excellent. The steaks at Concourse Steakhouse are also vey good.

The Flying Fish great char crusted steak. If you go ask for Joe or Bob for your server, they are the best Disney servers. If you go you really enjoy it.I highly recommened it. WE go there every time we go to WDW. Already been there twice this year, going again in November. ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo

My brother had the surf and turf which was good but dh had the Porterhouse which was EXCELLENT. I can't eat red meat bothers my stomach but I can have a few bites. The Porterhouse by far was better than the Filet Meon(sp?)

Definitely Le Cellier for steaks. And I definitely would NOT do Brown Derby - not a good menu and far too expensive for what you get.

I agree with you on avoiding the Brown Derby. It used to be one of our favorites, but something happened about a year ago. We had two so-so meals with two luke warm waiters. Haven't been back since, and we went there 3 or 4 times a year. Now LeCellier has taken over as our favorite. It seems like they have not changed their menu in quite some time.{Brown Derby}

Last week we ate at Le Cellier and at Narcoossee, they were both excelent. DS and I prefered the Surf & Turf at Narcoossee, DW said the Fillet that she had at Le Cellier was the best that she has ever had. The view of the MK I think gives Narcoosee a slight edge, either one is excellent.
